Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    Own the MI & Insight strategy and roadmap for GIAI, translating strategic priorities into a coherent portfolio of reporting, analytics and automation.
•    Provide trusted, timely and decision-useful management information and insight that enables senior leaders and stakeholders to understand performance, risk, delivery and emerging trends for the function,.
•    Lead the Performance Insight team and coordinate requirements across regions, reporting and visualisation capabilities that improve efficiency, consistency and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

People and Talent
•    Set direction and drive high performance by translating strategy into clear direction, aligning individual goals to team outcomes and providing regular, constructive feedback.
•    Develop talent and capability through coaching and career conversations that build critical skills, stretch potential and prepare individuals for future opportunities.

MI & Insight strategy and roadmap
•    Own and maintain the enterprise MI & Insight strategy, target state and delivery roadmap, aligned to GIAI priorities and stakeholder needs.
•    Prioritise the portfolio of MI enhancements, balancing recurring reporting, regulatory and committee commitments, strategic change and emerging insight opportunities.
•    Define clear success measures, governance, ownership and delivery milestones, and monitor progress, risks, dependencies and realised benefits.

Enterprise reporting and insight
•    Lead the design and production of enterprise-wide reporting and insight packs for senior management, governance forums and other key stakeholders.
•    Translate complex operational, audit and risk data into clear narratives, trends, drivers, exceptions and forward-looking insights that support decisions and action.
•    Turning complex and imperfect data into clear insights that help senior stakeholders make better decisions.
•    Building simpler, more automated and sustainable reporting processes, dashboards and insight products.
•    Leading a collaborative team and partnering across regions and functions to solve enterprise-wide problems and continuously improve performance.
•    Identify and deliver automation opportunities across reporting, quality checks, reporting production and distribution, with appropriate governance and human oversight.
•    Oversee the design and maintenance of strategic dashboards and self-service MI, ensuring solutions are usable, documented, scalable and supported by a clear operating model.

Regional coordination and stakeholder partnership
•    Coordinate MI requirements across regions and teams, establishing common priorities and enterprise standards while accommodating justified local or regulatory needs.
•    Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand decisions they need to make, identify unmet insight needs and convert these into practical analytical products.
•    Act as the senior point of contact for MI & Insight demand, managing expectations, resolving competing priorities and communicating delivery status and constraints.

Leadership, capability and risk management
•    Lead, coach and develop a geographically distributed MI & Insight team, setting clear objectives, allocating work effectively and building capability in analytics, visualisation, automation and business partnering.
•    Promote a proactive, curious and improvement-focused culture that moves the team from data production towards insight, challenge and measurable business impact.
•    Ensure MI products and processes comply with data, information security, conduct and operational risk requirements, with proportionate controls and clear accountability.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 10+year experience leading management information, reporting, analytics or insight delivery in a large, complex organisation.
  • 5+ years’ experience in internal audit as an auditor or working in MI or reporting team in audit function
  • Demonstrated ability to produce senior executive or governance reporting and convert data into concise, decision-relevant narratives.
  • Experience improving data quality, controls, dashboards and reporting processes, including automation and operating model change.
  • Experience leading teams across locations and managing diverse stakeholder requirements and priorities.
  • Banking, risk, controls or other regulated-industry experience is advantageous.
  • No mandatory professional certification. Relevant qualifications in data, analytics, finance, risk, audit or business management are advantageous
  • Business Communication: professional fluency. Additional languages are advantageous for regional stakeholder engagement.
