Job Summary

You will join a Singapore-based team with a global mandate with a scope of the work encompassing the entire SCB population across 50+ countries. As an Organisation Design Specialist, you will work with the global management team, Heads of HR, and CEOs to deliver the organisation design agenda for their respective units.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  

You will lead and be accountable for managing and providing strategic organisation design advisory to major organisation units in the Bank (e.g. Corporate & Institutional Banking, Technology, Transformation & Ops) with the following scope:

 

  • Engage senior leaders to distil and analyse complex business and organisational issues by:
    • Understanding the business strategy of their organisational units, regulatory context, and their implications to organisation design
    • Determining the scope, priority, and impact of organisation design initiatives to related business or functions teams

  • Advise business/function stakeholders on their Target Operating Model (TOM) and organisational structures by:
    • Analysing the current state through Organisation Design Reviews (ODR) conducted which assess structure, size, shape, spans, and layers of the organisational unit
    • Leveraging thought leadership and best practices to enrich current state analysis and recommendations on the future state organisation
    • Co-developing future state TOM and organisational structures to drive greater client centricity, increased productivity, and cost efficiencies

 

  • Provide expertise on other related organisation design topics (not limited to):
    • Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures – from pre-deal assessment, deal execution, to post-merger integration
    • Strategic Workforce Planning – integration of both capacity and capability components of an organisation’s future of work, workforce, and workplace
    • Strategic Change Management – ensuring a successful transition to the future state with its full benefits realised

  • Collaborate with HRBPs to monitor implementation and ensure achievement of desired outcomes by:
    • Providing continued advisory and tracking the progress and benefits of organisation design solutions delivered

 

  • Uphold the Bank’s knowledge on organisation design capabilities by conducting ongoing research of the latest trends and thought leadership

 

  • In addition, you will be expected to actively mentor and uplift capabilities by:
    • Guiding and coaching organisation design team members
    • Imparting organisation design skills to HRBPs, to facilitate delivery of organisation design solutions within their units

Key Stakeholders

  • Your clients are the global management team, CEOs, and Heads of HRs for Global, Regional and Country businesses/ functions
  • You will work in close partnership with HRBPs facing off to these clients, as well as develop relationships with other HR Centres of Expertise (“CoE”) to provide holistic people and organisation solutions

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in organisation design, organisation transformation and/or strategy consulting either in an external or internal capacity
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services/banking sector and/or being in a global role a plus
  • Functional expertise in one or more of the following areas: Strategic Workforce Planning, Strategic Change Management and/or Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams
  • Well-versed in engaging and influencing C-suite level stakeholders
  • Ambitious, organised self-starter who has strong business acumen, and organisational navigation skills
  • Open to varied work responsibilities and does what is necessary to achieve desired outcome
