Job Summary
- You will be responsible for driving and contributing to projects and initiatives supporting the CIB Co-Chief of Staff agenda for Transaction Banking (TB)
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
• Drive strategy definition and planning for Transaction Banking (TB) priorities.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with TB's financial goals and objectives.
• Actively contribute to developing the strategy and priorities to deliver TB’s aspirations.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with the TB and Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) teams to bring TB priorities to life.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and execution of TB strategies.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

• Transaction banking Management Team, Coverage, Products, Chief of Staff teams, CIB Management teams
• Industry associations as needed.
Our Ideal Candidate
• Experience in a strategic commercial role within CIB (e.g., Coverage, Products) or strategy consulting (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, Bain, Oliver Wyman, In-House).
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
• Proven track record of driving demonstrable commercial change within current/previous roles or teams.
• Experience in leading projects that resulted in significant business impact.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical role, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Required Skillset (Must Have)
Strong problem-solving skills:
• Ability to frame and assess ambiguous/complex problems (such as product strategy and product proposition) in simple, understandable terms.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills:
• Ability to work independently and proactively to drive results across the Bank.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization (including Management).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Analytical and presentation skills:
• Ability to write concise, clear presentation slides and independently assess large datasets.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CIB business verticals:
• Products, Client Segments.
• Knowledge of CIB origination processes/activities.
• Knowledge of the TB business:
• Products, propositions.
Required Skillset (Nice to Have)
• Knowledge of CIB systems and operational processes
• Background / experience in large-scale project management (PMO)
• Experience with digital transformation initiatives within the financial services sector.
