As a Product Owner in TB Trade & Working Capital support the transformation agenda in Trade and deliver best-in-class transaction banking products to meet clients and business needs globally. This role manages the product development for Trade Finance Platforms focussing on credit and risk and looks into ongoing enhancements and development of the platform. 
In this role the individual acts as Product Owner, responsible for leading an agile squad to deliver solutions to meet our changing business and client requirements, aligned with product vision and strategy.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

•    Awareness and understanding of the Group’s and TB Trade specifically business strategy and model appropriate
to the role. Commitment to delivery of TradeXpress as a strategic deliverable for TB Trade.

Business

•    Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group
operates. Understanding of the specifics as they relate to TB Trade processes and TradeXpress delivery.

Processes

•    Review the processes as part of the Build during the CRA approval before the Feature release. 

Risk Management

•    Adherence to all Group Policies and relevant legislation covering credit, operational, reputational risk among others across all asset classes and associated post-trade processes
•    Commitment and adherence to Group Code of Conduct
•    Ensure product development aligns to internal governance frameworks that sets out the requirements for the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions.
•    Where material changes are made to existing solutions, ensure compliance to process change impact assessment and technology change impact assessments are completed.

Governance

•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Willingness to ‘speak up’ in the event of any realized or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues
•    Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

•    Lead the TradeXpress LuW  to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles

Our Ideal Candidate

•   5+ years of experience in corporate and Institutional banking.

•    Good understanding of the product development lifecycle using Agile Methodology and relevant prior experience in drafting vision statements, epics and user stories, use case documents, solution papers, business workflow documents and high-level functional flows.
•    Deep understanding of Trade Finance products and a good understanding of the trade credit structures; limit management; related credit systems and risk.
•    High integrity and personal drive, with a passion for product, technology and services transformation 
•    Highly experienced in stakeholder management and working closely with stakeholders including country
•    Effective and positive written and verbal communications especially when acting as a liaison between departments, internal employees.
•    Comprehensive solution-oriented thinker when dealing with clients, team members, internal functional departments and upper management.

Role specific technical Competencies

.  Proficiency in Power-point and Excel
.  Analytical thinking and strong presentation skills
.  Ability to interact and discuss with Senior Country/business stakeholders
.  Basic knowledge of project management
