Financial Markets eTrading has defined an exciting strategy and aggressive product roadmap. The FM eTrading system developments team is a specialist team responsible for the design and development of proprietary set of systems that will differentiate the bank in its core markets. eTrading systems are aimed at numerous customer markets including external customers via the internet, sophisticated customers via API/point-to-point connectivity, internal users trading on behalf of customers around the globe and finally connectivity into multi-dealer platforms.
This role will join the DevOps sub-team. The role will be primarily focussed on new DevOps stack in setting up end to end CI / CD pipelines along with future on-boardings onto AWS Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
To join the Standard Chartered Bank eTrading Solutions Delivery team, working in the DevOps sub-team responsible for setting up and administer AWS Cloud, continuous integration development tools for source control, continuous integration, automated build and release tools ( CI/CD ).
Strategy
• An experienced DevOps Engineer who can work on the automations / pipeline setups / Infra setups individually and guide QA team on the testing automations onto pipelines.
• Experienced in setting up and maintaining JIRA and Confluence tools to facilitate effective Agile Project Management.
• Experienced in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines on both Cloud platforms and on-premises platforms.
• Experienced in proving clear and concise status updates
• Experienced in the delivery of complex software delivery projects in an agile environment

• Good track record of communicating effectively with both business and IT staff at all levels.
• Enthusiastic, driven, self-motivated with a focus on client and customer service
• Very strong interpersonal skills including facilitation and coaching and able to lead and influence others

Skills and Experience
Must have skills
• Strong Scripting knowledge – Linux (bash/python), groovy
• DevOps Tooling exposure – Jenkins, JIRA, CICD pipelines, Artifactory, Nexus etc
• Containerization tools – Docker, Podman, OpenShift, K8s
• Configuration Management – Ansible
• Environment management exposure
• General Enterprise Technical Aptitude: networks, servers, load balancing, storage, etc
• Source Control tools – GIT/SVN etc
• Cloud – AWS/Azure
Good to have skills
• Release Management approach/tools
• Knowledge on Oracle Database management
• Unix administration
Soft skills:
• Confident and articulate communicator, a self-starter
• Able to problem-solve at a deep level; determine the root cause of issues and design, plan, and deliver long-term strategic solutions
• Domain expertise, if any – Banking / Financial markets (Nice to have)

• Master or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or related fields
• Business English (verbal and written)
