Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Print customer chequebooks, maintaining records, and forwarding to the customer.
  • Report errors and complaints to the Chief Cashier / Branch Manager completing the error book as required.  
  • Assist in general office work as required – this might be, but not limited to, folding statements, storing archives, shredding, archiving and transferring deliveries to the storeroom.
  • Deal with all general mail, answering phone calls, prepare vouchers, cancel cheques, and post receipts to customers.
  • Post and batch transactions in accordance with Bank requirements.
  • Ensure that all transactions are finalised in a timely manner and within service standards as defined by the manager.
  • Prepare vouchers, check balances, and confirm payments for UK sterling cheques posted against UK accounts.
  • Processing all emails coming into Bank.Info@sc.com

Cashiering

  • Ensure that all enquiries relating to customer accounts and other transactions are dealt with efficiently and courteously.
  • Pay out to and receive cash from customers in accordance with delegated authority.
  • Ensure that all relevant rules and regulations are adhered to in order to minimise losses and frauds and prevent money laundering.

General

  • Be always aware of the responsibility of staying alert to and reporting any suspicious activity on customers’ accounts.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English.

Skills and Experience

 

  • Basic understanding of Bank products and services.
  • Good interpersonal skills with a polite and courteous disposition.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • GCSE passes in at least English and Maths or satisfactory completion of numeracy and writing tests.
  • Basic training in basic bank procedures and cashiering.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Able to use basic PC applications.
  • A good team player and able to work with other people.
  • Understanding of the relevant rules relating to financial transactions in the FI.
