Job Summary
We are inviting a driven, experienced professional to take on the role of Senior Director, Priority Banking. This pivotal leadership position is dedicated to steering a high-performing team of Affluent Relationship Managers. The successful candidate will be entrusted with shaping team dynamics, leading client relationship strategies, and ensuring exemplary service delivery to our Priority Clients. Your leadership will directly impact both the growth of our affluent client portfolio and the overall success of our wealth management division. Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
• Build, inspire, and lead a team of Affluent Relationship Managers by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high achievement.
• Set ambitious yet attainable performance goals, conduct regular coaching sessions, and implement robust feedback mechanisms to drive professional growth.
• Promote a supportive environment that encourages open communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
• Identify and nurture talent within the team through targeted development programs and mentoring initiatives.
Business Development and Client Relationship Management
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with Priority Clients, acting as a senior advisory resource.
• Customize wealth management solutions aligned with clients’ evolving financial goals and market conditions.
• Strategically drive acquisition of new clients while deepening engagement with existing ones to enhance share of wallet.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product specialists, and other stakeholders to implement innovative campaigns and improve product penetration.
• Monitor market trends to anticipate client needs and adapt strategies accordingly.
Compliance and Risk Oversight
• Maintain rigorous adherence to all regulatory and internal controls standards to safeguard the bank’s reputation.
• Proactively oversee risk management processes, encouraging a culture of ethical behavior and compliance throughout the team.
• Stay continuously informed of regulatory changes and industry best practices, ensuring timely communication and implementation.
Skills and Experience
• A minimum diploma or degree qualification in any field is essential.
• At least 5 years of substantive experience in wealth management, with a minimum of 2 years in a team leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of wealth products, financial services, and relevant regulatory frameworks applicable to Priority Banking.
• Strong leadership qualities paired with a demonstrated ability to inspire and manage people effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with superior interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Proven capability in executing strategic initiatives and meeting business targets within a highly regulated environment.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
• Expertise in Relationship Management principles to foster long-lasting profitable client relationships.
• Thorough knowledge of the regulatory framework governing financial services, especially those impacting Priority Banking operations.
• Familiarity with multiple sales channels and the ability to design strategies that leverage these to maximize client acquisition and retention.
• Competency in risk management, compliance adherence, and ethical business conduct.
• Aptitude for utilizing data analytics and performance metrics to guide team performance and business growth.
