RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist the team in adhering to all internal compliance requirements
People & Talent
- Coordinate efforts with deal team members across the Bank globally including with external vendors and counterparties
Risk Management
- Assist the team in adhering to all internal compliance and risk reporting requirements
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications
- Education Bachelor or post graduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, law, engineering, mathematics or other relevant degrees
- Training Previous employment in investment banking is preferred but other relevant experience will also be considered
- Prior experience in the resources sector would be helpful but is not essential
Our Ideal Candidate
- 2+Years of Experience in Investment Banking, M&A Advisory, Business Development or similar related fields
- Experience in financial modelling and valuation
- Exposure to natural resources or similar industries.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Generate pitch books / information memoranda / investment teasers / other documents under guidance
- General industry / country / company research
- Strong attention to details ensuring error free work output
- Capable of multi-tasking and working under tight deadlines to produced timely and quality work
- Excellent teamwork / inter-personal / written and verbal communication skills
- Adherence to Standard Chartered Bank’s corporate values
