Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    Manage and deliver Transaction Banking (TB) Cash products, focusing on Account Services and Liquidity Management.
•    Ensure alignment with global product objectives, covering financial and non-financial performance metrics, regulatory initiatives, product launches, new capability deployment, and comprehensive risk and product governance oversight.
•    Supervise product commercialisation by:
o    Facilitating value proposition training
o    Establishing end-to-end process flows in line with the global operating model
o    Ensuring readiness for client onboarding and service delivery
•    Support Sales teams by providing client presentations and customised product solutions.

Financial Performance and profitability
•    Oversee Cash product P&L, including interest and fee pricing.
•    Collaborate with Country TB head to align with ALCOs on market changes and pricing.
•    Lead investment business cases and operating model for Cash products.
•    Set standard pricing and track fee and NII collection.
•    Partner with Sales to develop local strategy aligned with TB objectives.
•    Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats; recommend actions for competitive advantage.
•    Manage product performance and efficiency through digitalisation and scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management and Development
•    Collaborate with Country TB head on product strategy and carrying out product initiatives according to the annual operating plan for the country.
•    Develops client value propositions that address changing customer needs and current market trends.
•    Leads the launch of product improvements and introduces new products, working closely with Sales and Marketing to create materials for the local market, communicate launches, host client events, and create sales campaigns to support commercialization goals.
•    Ensures training for Sales/RMs aligns with commercialization priorities.
•    Works with Central Product on all business cases—including requirements and investment requests—for product development or enhancements, in compliance with local regulatory standards.

Commercialisation
•    Oversee the commercialisation of new product capabilities by developing and executing plans, setting targets, and establishing the necessary infrastructure to optimise success.
•    Assess client and prospect requirements, crafting tailored solutions through Cash products and services to address their specific needs.
•    Deliver ongoing support and training on product capabilities to stakeholders, with a focus on Sales, Coverage/RM, and other relevant parties.
•    Sustain a high level of client engagement, dedicating approximately 20% of your time to activities that prioritise client requirements and ensure appropriate solutions are implemented.

Process Governance
•    Identify and address Operational, Credit, Regulatory, and Business conduct risks associated with TB products within the country.
•    Ensure that the country complies with Group standards for auditing, control, and financial reporting, including proper risk reporting to relevant risk committees.
•    Collaborate with operations to enhance overall service quality and maintain client satisfaction at levels above those of competitors.
Renew country addendums (CAs) to PPGs on time and proactively engage with stakeholders to detect and assess both new and existing risks.
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

  •  6 + Years of Experience in Transaction Banking Products.
  • Cash & Liquidity Product Expertise - Deep technical knowledge of cash management, account services, and liquidity solutions, including product structures, pricing mechanics, and client applications.
  • Product P&L, Pricing & Commercial Performance Management - Strong capability in managing Cash product P&L, interest, and fee pricing, NII tracking, and profitability, with experience aligning pricing and strategy to ALCO and market conditions.
  • Product Development & Commercialisation - Proven ability to lead product development and commercialisation from business case and requirements definition through launch, sales enablement, training, and performance optimisation.
  • Regulatory, Risk Governance & Operating Model Execution - Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and product governance, with the ability to manage operational, credit, regulatory, and conduct risks while designing scalable, compliant end to end processes aligned to the global operating model.
