We are looking for an exceptional leader to join our Conduct, Financial Crime, and Compliance (CFCC) team as Director, Compliance, Risk Assessment. This role is critical in shaping and driving the CFCC Risk Assessment framework for the Americas region, ensuring alignment with global standards while meeting local regulatory and industry expectations.

- Key Responsibilities:
Risk Assessment & Compliance Strategy - Drive the development and execution of the US BSA/AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment and the US Compliance Risk Assessment.
- Ensure the framework aligns with global methodologies, industry best practices, and regulatory expectations.
- Analyze risk data to provide insightful reporting and executive-level analytics on emerging risks.
Business & Risk Management - Oversee financial crime and compliance risk assessments (AML, Sanctions, ABC) across the Americas.
- Identify and assess residual risks, linking them to specific control weaknesses and recommending solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders across the bank to foster a risk-aware culture and drive proactive risk identification.
Governance & Regulatory Engagement - Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Act as a key liaison in regulatory matters, engaging with regulators, external monitors, and internal governance bodies.
- Support the execution of regulatory commitments to the FRB, DFS, and other external bodies.
Skills and Experience
- Deep expertise in risk assessment, compliance governance, and financial crime frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, Sanctions, and ABC compliance requirements within banking.
- Experience developing and implementing quantitative risk methodologies.
- Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence senior stakeholders.
- Passion for developing teams, fostering diversity, and leading with integrity.

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 93,981 USD to 140,972 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
