Job Description: 

Job Summary

The role will be responsible for driving SME business growth by achieving agreed sales targets and ensuring Relationship Managers under supervision meet their objectives. The incumbent will solicit new SME customers in line with the bank’s sales strategy, rigorously adhere to account opening procedures, and conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments for trade and working capital clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously review SME Banking processes, resources, and procedures to ensure service standards are met through effective capacity planning, removal of bottlenecks, and workflow improvements.
  • Lead customer retention efforts by personally engaging in complaint resolution and gathering ad hoc feedback to enhance overall customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Act as a catalyst for coordination among branch units, including Cash Management, Asset Sales, and New Acquisition teams, to deliver integrated and coordinated solutions to customers.
  • Develop and maintain a robust database of prospective SME customers to support ongoing new business development and pipeline management.
  • Acquire additional business relationships across assets, trade, transaction banking, and treasury management products to maximize wallet share.
  • Cross-sell SME products and solutions to existing clients to deepen relationships and increase the overall SME portfolio for the bank.
  • Achieve agreed business volumes, revenue targets, and portfolio growth objectives for SME Banking, while implementing and adhering to local and global standards for the segment.
  • Keep customers informed about new products, services, and promotional campaigns to drive usage, engagement, and revenue.
  • Ensure sustained revenue generation for the core SME Banking business through proactive relationship management and opportunity identification.
  • Monitor the health and quality of the SME portfolio to ensure strong asset quality, timely identification of early warning signals, and portfolio retention and growth.
