Job Summary

Risk Analytics Champion

•    Exceptional analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable risk insights.
•    Analyse big data to identify trends, patterns, and potential risk exposures within the WRB segments.
•    Develop and implement predictive models to forecast risk scenarios and support proactive risk management strategies.
•    Create comprehensive risk reports and data visualizations to communicate findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
•    Collaborate with Country Ops / BRM teams to develop scenarios and engage on remediation to mitigate identified risks.
•    High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and Management reporting.
•    Ensure the data accuracy implementing robust data governance and quality control measures.
•    Work closely with various stakeholders to align risk analytics with business objectives.
•    Utilize advanced analytics tools and software to perform data analysis and generate risk insights.
•    Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in risk analytics and continuously seek ways to enhance risk management processes and tools.
•    Volunteer to share ideas for improvement, undertake to perform more scenarios as a result of knowledge and experience gained over a period of time.
•    Standardization of approach towards scenario runs through periodic discussion with peers.

Strategy

•    Support the Country, Regional and Group Process and Governance teams in minimising disruption to BAU activities.

Business

•    Awareness of the WRB Operations and Risk activities

People & Talent

•    Adequate knowledge around advance Excel functionalities and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on these tools.
•    Develop familiarity with Retail Banking processes and key systems like eBBS/C400/CCMS/RLS/Marcis etc.
•    Ensuring that the necessary trainings (on-the-job or classroom) are conducted and contribute required job knowledge for team success.

Processes

•    Business Banking & Medium Enterprises, Personal, Priority and Business Banking, WM 


Risk Management

•    Escalates issues to senior management within parameters of role
•    Describes and understands the operations risk 
•    Awareness on transactional level fraud
•    Ensuring that proper backups are being arranged for critical reports

Governance

•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework across business function under WRB vertical


Regulatory & Business Conduct

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.]
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
•    Serve as a Director of the Board
•    Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association (or equivalent)

•    Country Business Risk Managers, Country Business, Group BRM, Regional BRM office, Group Operational Risk

Other Responsibilities

•    Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in ; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats).
