Job Summary
As a Technology Project Manager at Standard Chartered, you will play an integral role in supporting the Programme Management Team focused on the Integration Journey and Technology & Applications (T&A) Delivery. This role demands a dynamic individual contributor committed to ensuring seamless delivery and integration of varied technology initiatives across the banking division. You will be a central point of coordination, ensuring programme objectives align with business goals, timelines, and compliance frameworks. Your work will impact both strategy execution and operational efficiency, helping the bank innovate while maintaining robust control frameworks within a complex financial services environment.
Embedded within a collaborative team, you will interface with multiple stakeholders ranging from technical teams to business partners, ensuring all phases of project delivery meet the highest standards of quality and risk management. Key Responsibilities
Business
• Ensure that the key changes are communicated and cascaded to T&A Delivery Stakeholders, in line with the programmed communication model
Processes
• Ensure adherence to the Group policies and Project Management framework (SDLC) to implement T&A Deliveries
Governance
• Devise, scope and implement projects and initiatives in a lead capacity
• Establish project plans, track deliverables, ensure documentations, and participate in the project steering committee, and Deliver systems roll-out with GTO partners
• Manage and protect business as usual (“BAU”) capability during change programmes, as well as during the execution and delivery of the Remediation initiatives through project phase and into BAU
• Manage the risk and dependencies of project
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Establish and maintain a stakeholder engagement database to reflect a concrete Stakeholder mapping and plan.
• Develop appropriate forums to collate and distribute feedback received from internal/external stakeholders apart from Member activities, consultations, and other interactions. These forums will be in line with Agile practices, example, IS Scorecard metrics, QPRs, MPRs, SRMs for Agile Squad performance, Big Room Planning, Update to Calliope etc.
• Work in conjunction with ISMT, Agile Coaches, and all Stakeholders to drive outcomes for Integration Services Forums. In summary, capture key progress, actions, risks and issues emerging out of all Stakeholder Engagement and Forums. Drive all outcomes to closure
Project/Change Management
• Implement change management methodology and capabilities.
• Identify and assess project interdependencies (dependency type, profile, specifications and timelines) to determine the critical path and control standards.
• Measure outcomes on Change initiatives/ program post-implementation to evaluate benefits realisation.
• Identify and resolve project plan execution (budget, work activities, timeline) risks.
• Scope projects and/or produce business case.
• Provide project management support.
• Manage and protect business as usual (BAU) capability during change programmes, as well as during the execution and delivery of the Remediation initiatives through project phase and into BAU.
• Implement change management tools/frameworks (stakeholder analysis, training needs analysis, changes impact assessment).
• Define and/or implement project quality compliance standards (e.g. defining the role of steering committee, implementing a detailed decision making matrix, issue escalation process and ensuring quality audits).
• Implement projects in response to changes to policies/procedures.
• Identify and actively engage with various key stakeholders to ensure the success of the project/program.
• Provide subject matter expert advice, guidance and support to the project managers on managing change

- Demonstrable expertise in stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and vendor coordination is essential, as is a commitment to upholding governance standards and delivering measurable outcomes.

- You should bring a solid foundation in project management methodologies and have a track record of delivering programmes valued at a minimum of 5 million.

Qualifications
• A graduate degree in any discipline, ideally complemented with certifications or studies in Project Management methodologies such as PMP, Prince2, or Agile frameworks.
• Preferably, a background or understanding of banking and financial services including familiarity with regulatory environments, compliance frameworks, and industry standards.
• Experience managing large-scale programmes with budgets or scopes exceeding 5 million, demonstrating comprehensive programme leadership and resource management capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in applying project management tools and techniques, including risk management, financial oversight, and stakeholder communication strategies.
• Evidence of continuous professional development, particularly in project leadership, agile delivery, and change management practices.
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of Proven expertise in Project Management, with the ability to plan, execute, and close complex projects successfully, aligning with business objectives.
- Strong Networking skills to build and sustain effective relationships across business units, technology teams, and external partners.
- Proficiency in Financial Management including budgeting, forecasting and monitoring expenditures within project frameworks.
- Competence in Risk Management to identify, evaluate and mitigate risks throughout project lifecycles.
- Skilled in Vendor Management, negotiating and managing contracts and performance to ensure service delivery standards.
- Exceptional Stakeholder Management experience, engaging with diverse audiences to align expectations and achieve consensus.
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
- Effective communication, leadership and organisational skills with an ability to influence at multiple levels.
- Good knowledge of network and enterprise architecture concepts (e.g API integrations, environments, deployment models) to effectively coordinate with technical.
- Azure Devops ability to analyse critical path
- Experience in Infrastructure and application integration projects
- Strong understanding of eSDLC, Agile, Hybrid with ability to drive end to end project delivery
