Job Summary

  • Experienced Android developer who adheres to key principles of software development, deployment while collaborating with cross functional teams and ensuring efficient and secure operations with
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Javascript, and Kotlin
  • In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and other various tools
  • Experience developing and publishing Android applications on the Google Play Store
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration
  • An understanding of mobile UI and UX principles and design patterns
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, including agile methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
     

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs Mobile App development tasks using Android Technologies
  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g., DevOps, UX/UI, Security), take on leadership roles in cross-functional projects, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Be mindful of cultural differences and practices when working in a global team or developing global products.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence by being aware of and managing one’s emotions, and understanding and influencing the emotions of others in the team.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with team members, mentor junior members, and maintain up-to-date documentation to facilitate onboarding and knowledge retention.
  • Ensure development activities align with architectural guidelines and standards set by the organization.
  • Conduct security testing, including vulnerability assessments, and maintain awareness of ethical hacking practices to protect against potential vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure that development and testing activities comply with industry-specific regulations (e.g., finance, healthcare).
  • Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines and milestones. Create Knowledge base
  • Ensure respect for intellectual property rights, software licenses, and avoid infringement in all development activities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases, ensuring deployment processes are smooth and rollback plans are in place.
  • Manage application configurations across different environments, ensuring consistency and proper documentation.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity in case of system failures.
  • Maintain and support legacy systems as required, ensuring they function properly until decommissioned.
  • Continuously monitor and improve application performance, focusing on load times, resource usage, and scalability.
  • Quickly identify, document, and resolve incidents in production environments, providing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Identify, document, and address technical debt regularly to maintain code quality and system health.

  • Integrate third-party APIs and services, ensuring proper testing, security measures, and compliance.
  • Ensure applications meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG guidelines) to be usable by people with disabilities.
  • Develop and test applications for mobile platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance across devices (if applicable).
  • Proactively suggest and implement improvements to development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform future development and improve user experience.
  • Implement and maintain DevOps practices such as automated deployments, continuous integration, and infrastructure as code.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor user behavior, and apply insights to improve features and drive strategic decisions.
  • Develop prototypes to explore new features or technologies before full-scale implementation.
  • Consider ethical implications when designing features, ensuring inclusivity, fairness, and avoidance of bias.
  • Regularly review and suggest improvements to Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups. Inspect and adapt DoR and DoD
  • Actively work with Product Owner as part of Refinement to agree on Acceptance Criteria’s for backlog items
  • Actively participate in retrospection and contribute to flag concerns and agree on action plan for continuous improvement
