Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Base  Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RDBMS Databases like Oracle & Posgres with hands-on experience in developing automated devops tools using Python / Java . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that are robust, scalable, and efficient.

Strategy
•    Tap into latest industry trends, innovative products & solutions to deliver effective and faster product capabilities

Business
• Design and develop software, translate user stories into functional applications meeting business timelines
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code in Java, following the language’s coding standards and best practices
• Ensure the best possible resilience, performance and quality of the applications
• Ensure good unit test code coverage
• Monitor and fix the issues found in security scans and ensure applications are compliant
• Support all testing activities including SIT/UAT/performance test/regression test etc.
• Prepare for releases and standby to support the releases
• Perform L3 support on rota and work with Production Support to resolve issues
• Thrive an ecosystem of innovation and enabling business through technology

Key Responsibilities

Processes
•    Ensure adherence and continuous improvement of Agile practices, coaching and teaching new techniques to the team as needed to achieve optimum productivity.
•    Engage and collaborate with a wide group of technology teams from upstream TP systems, integration, modeling team, database administrators, messaging teams, and architecture.

Risk Management
Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure those are addressed within quick / prescribed timeframes and escalated through the relevant committees
• Balance business delivery on time, quality and cost constraints with risks & controls to ensure that they do not materially threaten the Group’s ability to remain within acceptable risk levels
