Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    As a Data Scientist your responsibilities include working with our content creators, product teams and engineering team to develop and refine agentic AI use cases, optimizing agent performance and staying updated on the latest advancements in AI, natural language processing and machine learning.

•    Your aim will be the development, deployment and long-term stabilization of AI agents in restricted deployment environments for internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with guardrails.

Key Responsibilities

•    Prototyping of agentic AI pipelines in restricted environments – Development of AI pipeline prototypes in restricted deployment environments based on business and user requirements.
•    AI Agent Tool Development – Develop tools to enhance AI agents with additional functionalities such as database lookups and API calls, while ensuring guardrail compliance.
•    Scoring and evaluation of AI agent performance - Conduct experiments and develop metrics to evaluate the performance and accuracy of AI agents and pipelines to ensure business needs and governance standards are met.
•    Development of metrics and automated tools for agent deployment – Develop a highly-automated pipeline for iterative improvement of deployed agent performance.
•    Feedback and Iteration - Analyse agent responses and identify areas for improvement, suggesting updates to the model, tools, pipeline or prompting techniques.
•    Team Collaborate – Collaborate with product teams, data engineers, and AI engineers to understand user needs and translate them into effective AI agent pipelines.
•    Documenting to enable sharing of knowledge and Best Practices - Document and communicate your work clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences for future reference.
•    Keeping ahead on Strategy: Stay up to date on the latest advancements in natural language processing (NLP), prompting, AI and LLMOps, and apply those insights to your work.

Strategy 
•    Supports Hive Tech Lead, Product Area Lead and Engineering in strategy of agent engineering, roadmap and execution
•    Deliver outputs that make a significant contribution to the organization's strategic goals.
•    Recommend and prototype with new tools and technologies in support of the strategic requirements of business stakeholders.
•    Partner with Strategic Partner (i.e. Databricks and others)  to determine the right solutions to business needs.

Business
•    Promote engineering craftmanship and focus on delivering business value.
•    Responsible for technical delivery and technical excellence across the squads. 
•    Works across multiple squads or hives for delivery of complex Features, Epics & Releases.
•    Point of escalation for delivery issues across all impacted hives and squads.

•    Work with Change Delivery Manager (Release Manager) to develop delivery and release plans with technical dependencies, aligning all partners with support from the team and architect.
•    Exhibit passion for client experience with a user-first mindset.
•    Drive the domain towards future state of banking and technology.
•    Ensure the technical consistency of solutions in the Hive with the business architecture, technology architecture and enterprise technology standards.

Processes
•    Study existing engineering processes and contribute to improvements to drive up efficiencies. Present ideas across other areas and foster innovation.
•    Analyse, remove, or mitigate dependencies across teams to enable speed and quality of delivery.
•    Responsible in the preparation of production outputs and their planning in alignment to ESDLC standards. 

People & Talent
•    Work on upskilling of technical expertise of the Engineers to enable them to become more efficient in agentic tools used day-to-day. 
•    Mentoring and training the squad on technical skills to become proficient at developing AI tools 

Risk Management
•    Mitigate delivery risks and issues, and ensure quality, affordability, and scope of delivery.

Governance
•    Support the remediation of tech compliance (ESDLC) requirements through the delivery lifecycle (design reviews, security reviews, code reviews, SAT, OAT, etc.) with support from HTL(Hive Tech Lead) / PO / CPO (Chief Product Owner)

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, linguistics, writing, or a related field.
•    Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks.
•    Strong understanding of NLP concepts and techniques.
•    Experience working with large language models and other AI systems.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for language and storytelling.
•    Ability to think creatively and solve problems, adapting to new challenges and changing priorities.
•    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to evaluate and optimize prompts.
•    Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team.
•    Familiarity with programming languages and scripting skills are a plus.
•    Overall 10+ year Engineering experience in building data-driven applications and 2+ years as promote engineer
