Job Summary
- Responsible for governance for payments, collections and clearing products
- Responsible to globally drive ‘Digitization and Efficiency’ agenda for payments, collections and clearing
- Responsible for defining operating model for Cash Management Operations
- Drive transformation initiatives for SCB to be ‘Top-tier’ bank in Cash Management
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Agile Product Owner for a given SWIFT / Payments module, responsible for managing product backlog & sprint deliverables. Define Epics and User stories. Validate and accept delivered product.
- To support migration to ISO20022 and development of native payment processing capability
- Support in interpretation and mapping of CBPR+ and HVPS recommendations
- Mapping of messages from transparency and reconciliation perspective
- Interacting with the technical teams to ensure that the requirements are clear and well understood
- Be the bridge between business / operations and project team during all phases of SDLC
- Review test strategy and test cases and provide constructive feedback to enhance quality of UAT.
Skills and Experience
- High level of Subject Matter Expertise in Cash Management products – viz. Payments, SWIFT, ISO standards – CBPR+ , HVPS, Domestic Clearing framework
- Strong Techno-functional expertise
- Strong Data and Analytical skills
- Strong understanding of operations management, operational risk, process management, product / business risks
- Very good understanding of clearing mechanism, settlement risks, counter-party risks,
- Good understanding of technology with its impact on product functioning and operational controls.
- Good grasp over of key developments in Global Cash Management space , trends and developments
- Ability to drive change and transformation
- Though leadership in Cash Management
- Understanding of Agile practices
- Good communication skills
Qualifications
- Candidate should have experience of working as a Solution lead / Product Owner in a Payment / SWIFT Application / Transformation projects
- Strong understanding of banking products, processes and banking systems
- Experience on industry payment formats ISO20022, SWIFT MT and MX standards and domestic payment schemas.
- Exposure to Payments Hub, Clearing and Settlement, Automated clearing house programs
- Experience in designing User interface, Reporting tool would you be an added advantage.
- 9-13 years of relevant experience in banking and/ or technology industry.
- Proven ability to take a step back and look at the macro view to connect the dots between requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deep dive to drive solutions
- Strong stakeholder management skills in engaging senior stakeholders
- Experience in working as Product Owner for Payments module is expected
