Key Responsibilities
Business
• Understand business purpose of user stories and estimate development tasks to fulfil the story. Work directly with product owners on technical stories and further define the details on how the story should be implemented

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical insights and deliver high-quality software solution.

• Lead technical discussions, help team members, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Risk Management
• Ensure all solutions are secure, compliant, and meet company and industry standards.
Governance
• Monitor and improve system performance and data reliability through proactive analysis and optimization techniques.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

• Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in CCIB FM Regulatory Technology [SCB GBS China]; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures;
Skills and Experience
• Java
• Kubernetes, Docker/Podman
• Azure DevOps, CI / CD
• Experience in Messaging systems like Solace, Kafka,distributed caching systems like Redis, hazel cast, Oracle
• Experience working with Rest APIs
• Experience in Agile development methodologies
Qualifications
• 10+ years of proven experience in Design and build of robust and scalable containerized Microservice based architecture
• Java 17 and above, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience with Kafka message queue, Oracle DB and Redis caching tools
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD Pipelines, ADO, Git)
• Experience in the development and maintenance of Cloud-native apps is a plus.
• Experience in the development and maintenance of Hitachi content platform (HCP) is a plus
• Education: Engineering Degree Preferably in Computer Science / Information Technology
• Training: Rest API, Kubernetes
• Languages: JAVA
