Job Summary
The Product Owner, Digital Wealth and Fund, is responsible for shaping and delivering client-centric digital wealth and fund journeys across mobile and web channels. The role owns the product vision, roadmap and backlog for digital investment propositions, including fund discovery, transaction journeys, portfolio servicing and post-sales engagement, ensuring solutions are aligned to business priorities, client needs, regulatory expectations and technology strategy.
The role acts as the bridge between wealth management business teams, investment product stakeholders, technology, design, risk, compliance and country teams. It translates business outcomes into clear product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritises delivery based on client value and commercial impact, and drives execution through Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, release governance and post-implementation performance tracking.
The role requires strong digital wealth and fund domain knowledge, including understanding of investment products, client suitability, risk profiling, fund order flows, subscription and redemption processes, fees and charges, regulatory disclosures, cross-market operating requirements and servicing controls. The Product Owner is expected to simplify complex wealth journeys, improve client and frontline experience, and enable scalable platform capabilities across markets.
The candidate should also bring practical AI knowledge and the ability to identify responsible use cases for digital wealth, fund servicing and relationship manager enablement. This includes familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), predictive analytics and machine learning concepts, with sufficient understanding to work effectively with data science, engineering, architecture, model risk and governance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Owns the product vision, roadmap and backlog for digital investment propositions, including fund discovery, transaction journeys, portfolio servicing and post-sales engagement, ensuring solutions are aligned to business priorities, client needs, regulatory expectations and technology strategy
• Maintains a commercial lens over the product, understand and communicate with relevant stakeholders on the commercial performance metrics and viability of products, and drive its adoption.
• Acts as the bridge between wealth management business teams, investment product stakeholders, technology, design, risk, compliance and country teams.
• Owns the ‘WHY’ and ensure all members of the squad understand and embrace the vision & mission. The why should be closely aligned to the organization’s overall goals and ambitions.
• Inspires the squad to continuously thrive in a growth mindset.
• Sets goals and prioritise the backlog for the squad and create actions plans to target for timely delivery.

Business
• Act as an Agile Product Owner, owning the product vision, roadmap and backlog for digital wealth and fund propositions, including fund discovery, investment transaction journeys, portfolio servicing and post-sales engagement, to support key wealth and retail banking strategic objectives.
• Partner closely with wealth management business teams, investment product stakeholders, technology, design, risk, compliance, operations and country teams to deliver client-centric, scalable and commercially viable digital investment solutions.
• Use delivery and backlog management tools such as ADO to define, prioritise and manage epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria based on business value, client impact, regulatory needs, risk considerations and delivery dependencies.
• Continuously gather feedback from clients, and country stakeholders to iterate platform capabilities, improve usability and drive adoption across digital wealth and fund journeys.
• Define product requirements and development roadmaps based on digital wealth expertise, fund domain knowledge, market needs, client suitability, risk profiling, fund order flows, subscription and redemption processes, fees, disclosures and servicing controls.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and delivery teams to synchronise tasks, clarify requirements, manage dependencies, resolve trade-offs and align delivery expectations across business, technology and control functions.
• Conduct pre-go-live demos, walkthroughs and readiness sessions with stakeholders, ensuring business, technology, operations, risk, compliance and support teams are aligned for smooth transition, launch and post-launch support.
• Lead regular review and retrospective sessions to embed a growth mindset, identify delivery improvements, strengthen squad effectiveness and share learnings with the wider Product Owner community.

• Clearly aligns squad OKRs & KPIs with stakeholders and senior management, ensure these objectives and targets are well understood and aligned to the nature of your product.
• Communicates and embed the OKRs and KPIs into every aspect of the product life cycle.

• Performs post implementation review with squad, define measurement windows and prepare necessary data & metrics.

• Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Bank operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Qualifications
• Strong background in digital wealth, retail banking and investment products, with practical experience in fund propositions, client investment journeys and Agile product management.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in digital product delivery, technology implementation or platform transformation, preferably within wealth management, retail banking or financial services organisations.
• 8 to 10 years of experience as an Agile Product Owner or similar product delivery role, with proven ability to own product vision, roadmap, backlog prioritisation, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Good understanding of fund domain processes, including fund discovery, suitability, risk profiling, subscription and redemption flows, order handling, fees and charges, disclosures, servicing controls and post-sales engagement.
• Experience delivering digital journeys across mobile and web channels, including customer experience design, usability improvements, adoption tracking and post-implementation performance reviews.

• Experience in financial services applications, particularly digital wealth, fund platforms, wealth advisory, investment servicing, relationship manager enablement, KYC or client engagement solutions, would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese is required, with strong oral and written communication skills to engage stakeholders, document requirements and support delivery across regions.
