• The role holder will be part of Wealth Management Core Platform Hive and be accountable for delivery of Wealth Core Platform changes as well as lead/support the achievement of Hive OKRs. As an empowered decision maker, the Product owner will be accountable for maximising the business value of their product.
• We are looking for a talented individual who has functional and delivery expertise in front to back trade flow of one or more Investments products with extensive experience in delivering booking and settlement initiatives on core wealth booking platforms. The candidate must possess at least 6 years of experience in Banking / Wealth Management and have strong communication and stakeholder managements skills. Experience in wealth applications and understanding of operational flow of investment products e.g. unit trusts, funds, fixed income, structured notes required,
Key Responsibilities
• Own the end to product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Wealth Core Platform, aligned to Wealth business priorities and regional market needs
• Act as the single accountable owner for Wealth Core Platform market/region outcomes, balancing regulatory compliance, operational stability, and business growth
• Define, prioritise, and maintain the Wealth Core Platform backlog to maximise business value, risk reduction, and operational efficiency
• Partner closely with Wealth business, Operations, Architecture, and Technology teams to translate requirements into clear, actionable product outcomes
• Govern scope, prioritisation, and trade off decisions across markets, product types, and Wealth Core Platform modules
• Ensure UTS capabilities support key wealth products (e.g. mutual funds, bonds, structured notes) and associated lifecycle processes
• Drive platform standardisation and reuse across regions while accommodating local regulatory and market specific requirements
• Provide product leadership throughout delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and acceptance of delivered features
• Ensure platform resilience, scalability, and control effectiveness in line with operational risk and regulatory expectations
• Own stakeholder communication, including senior management updates on roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and value delivery
• Collaborate with production support and operations teams to ensure smooth BAU handover and ongoing platform stability
• Champion continuous improvement, simplification, and automation across Wealth Core Platform processes and integrations
Strategy
• Scalable core wealth platform, enabling consistent unit trust and investment product servicing across regions while supporting future market expansion
• Business growth is enabled through faster, safer product and market onboarding, reducing time to market for new wealth propositions without compromising control or stability
• Operational and regulatory risk is systematically reduced through platform standardisation, embedded controls, and reduced reliance on market specific workarounds
• Total cost of ownership is optimised by driving reuse, simplification, and convergence of platform capabilities across markets and product types
• Wealth operations efficiency is materially improved via streamlined processes, automation, and improved straight through processing across the investment lifecycle
• Platform resilience and availability meet enterprise expectations, supporting high volume processing, market specific cut offs, and critical end of day activities
• Clear product direction and prioritisation improve delivery confidence, ensuring technology capacity is focused on the highest value business and risk outcomes
• Stakeholder trust is strengthened through transparent roadmap governance, predictable delivery, and clear accountability for platform decisions
• Wealth platform remains aligned to broader Wealth and Core Banking strategy, integrating effectively with upstream and downstream platforms while avoiding functional duplication
• The platform is future ready, able to support evolving product structures, regulatory changes, and digital channel growth without fundamental re architecture
Business
• Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with WM Business, COO/ Operations, T&I, Risk & Compliance and Group Internal Audit to ensure alignment across stakeholder groups to support the tribe deliverables
• Ensure appropriate representation across the stakeholder groups in delivery forums.
• Escalate appropriately to ensure key stakeholders like Cluster Lead, Hive Lead, Hive Tech Lead are updated and able to intervene as required.
Processes
• Product strategy and roadmap management – defining, prioritising, and governing the platform roadmap across markets, products, and regulatory obligations
• Demand intake and backlog governance – managing demand from business, regulatory, and operational stakeholders and translating it into a prioritised, value driven platform backlog
• Delivery and release management – overseeing end to end delivery from requirements through build, testing, release, and BAU handover across platform capabilities
• Stakeholder and decision governance – leading structured engagement, decision making, and trade off forums across Business, Operations, Technology, Architecture, and Risk
• Platform risk, control, and lifecycle management – ensuring platform stability, resilience, compliance, and continuous improvement across the platform application lifecycle
People & Talent
• Demonstrate and act as a role model of the Group’s values and culture in the region
• Lead and support a change in mindset, building a culture of client centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement
• Set effective metrics and standards, transparently communicating them to squads
• Ensure squad capacity is reviewed to enable delivery of client outcomes.
Risk Management
• Risk control and governance: ensuring oversight and driving improvement in the control & resilience agenda.
• Developing a forward-looking end-to-end view across Wealth Management environment and proactively identifying and escalating issues and sharing themes / lessons learnt.
Governance
• Adherence to policies and control standards, ensuring compliance and operation within risk tolerance and risk appetite.
• Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Bank operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’ within the deliverables and possessing the ability to constructively challenge relevant stakeholders and teams effectively.
• Ability and willingness to work through details with relevant control functions in an open and collaborative manner to achieve the desired governance outcome within the bank’s risk appetite.
• Work with global teams in Risk, Compliance and COO Office to ensure adherence to the Bank’s Risk framework, in the identification, assessment, mitigation, control and monitoring of risk.
