The Financial Markets Technology function is responsible for the systems development and technology infrastructure which underpin the Bank’s services for Financial Markets clients. Within the Financial Markets infrastructure, SABRE (Standard Chartered Analytics Booking and Risk Engine) is the bank’s strategic platform for trade processing, valuation and market risk and has been entirely developed in house.
The Financial Markets Risk Technology team is looking for vide Job Summary to give an overview of the role. It is primarily used when advertising the role internally and externally during hiring
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and execute activities in relation to test scripting, execution, and reporting.
• Support both manual and automation test activities within the team.
• Coordination and collaboration with stake holders for monthly releases and new adjustments to sprint/delivery model.
• Implement defect reporting and ensure the defects are resolved and tracked properly to closure.
• Implement Test Automation scripts, code review, peer reviews and feedback team on improvements.
• Experience in one or more scripting languages: Shell, Python, Perl etc
• Strong Database and UNIX knowledge. Ability to understand table structure and write complex queries.
• Prior Asset Control or other reference data will be an add on - Golden Source, Market Data Insights etc.
• Prepare the Automation Test Strategy and roadmap for the area.
• Proven experience with JUnit 4/5, TestNG frameworks
• Experience in working with different Automation frameworks: Cucumber BDD, Keyword, data driven, Hybrid
Qualifications
• 6-10 years’ experience testing practices along with end-to-end delivery in the Financial Markets industry
• Strong knowledge of derivatives across asset classes encompassing product knowledge, pricing, risk analytics and trade life cycle
• Background in engineering is a big plus
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Quantitative finance understanding, ability to liaise with quants on pricing and risk topics
• Proven ability to work across business streams and have exposure to front to back system implementation.
• Knowledge and experience of Agile development practices
• Ability to work proactively, independently and displays strong initiative.
• Pragmatic team player with an attention to detail.
• Ability to drive multiple agenda and effectively manage priorities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with an excellent standard of English are a must.
