Job Summary

  • The Engineering Excellence & DevOps team sitting in Technology Strategy & Architecture organization are seeking an engineer with 8 or more years of experience to manage DevOps, Testing Automation and support our Cloud Onboarding tooling and products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy
Understand the bank’s DevOps strategy and implementing automation solutions to improve the bank’s software delivery pipeline. 


Business
This role requires broad engagement with application delivery teams across the bank, helping them adopt DevOps pipeline solutions to improve delivery efficiency and maturity.


Processes
Understand the bank’s software delivery processes and implement solutions in line with the bank’s compliance and security requirement.  


People & Talent
•    Work collaboratively with a team of diverse engineers in sprint delivery.
•    Produce technical documentation and prepare training materials on the solutions being delivered and provide technical support.
•    Conduct briefing and/or training sessions to application delivery teams to help them get onboarded and accelerate adoption.


Risk Management
Understand bank’s risk management framework and embed that into the technology solution being delivered.


Governance
Understand bank’s software delivery & quality assurance framework and assist in solutioning in respective governance activity.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in knowledge of multiple programming languages and libraries (HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Typescript, Web components, Lit, Jest, ES module) 
  • Strong knowledge of one or more popular open-source frameworks such as Angular or React.  
  • Strong knowledge of one or more style frameworks such as bootstrap, foundation, Tailwind CSS or boilerplate. 
  • Experience in DevOps with exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible is desirable
  • Experience with Unix and Windows host operating systems, scripting (Bash/Shell or PowerShell) & networking is desirable
  • Experience with container platform such as Docker and Kubernetes is bonus

•    8+ years of experience working as a software engineer 
•    Strong communicator with experience in agile working environments 
•    Experienced developer who has created, lead, and developed UI/UX frameworks and components in agile development teams 
•    Experienced frontend developer that has extensive experience on design led development of user centred products. 
•    Strong technologist who keeps up to date with web technology and web standards 
•    Motivated to do hands-on development and peer reviews 
•    Self-starter capable of identifying opportunities and delivering solutions on their own 
•    Working knowledge of API development standards 
•    Working knowledge of implementing UI/UX components for re-use in an SDK provided to other developers.
