Job Summary

This is a SRE Engineer role with the following main responsibilities: 
•    Understand the overall domain architecture and manage changes within them 
•    Understand the applications within the domain and become knowledgeable on them 
•    Handles production deployment for Linux and resolves production issues timely
•    Have proficiency in DevOps related work
•    Able to work independently, self-enabled & motivated personality.  
•    Use the Escalation Matrix for tasks that are showstoppers or blockers to meet the timeline. 
•    Build tools to improve deployment efficiency and reduce occurrence of errors
•    Support development and maintenance of CI/CD processes for application deployments
•    Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing and production environments 

Key Responsibilities

Business
•    Work hand in hand with CCIB Trade business and CCIB tech partners, taking product programs from investment decisions into design, specifications, solutioning, development, implementation and hand-over to operations, securing support and collaboration from other SCB teams
•    Manage business partner expectations. 
•    Ensure delivery to business meeting time, cost and with high quality.

Processes
•    Responsible for business initiatives delivery aligning to SCB defined technology, Agile principles and project management processes & frameworks 
•    Support Business Operating Models, Standards, Finance, Risk Controls and compliance with regulations
•    Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers regarding progress on long-term technology roadmap
•    Maintain and provide support for product deployment processes with project teams to ensure efficiency and quality. 

People & Talent 
•    Lead through example and build appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations for the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners

Risk Management
•    Identify potential risks from technical perspective which could impact quality or delivery of projects
•    Raise and execute mitigation plan to identified risks

Governance 
•    Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct in the TB T&I Team to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics and compliance with relevant policies, processes, and regulations among employee’s form part of the culture.
•    Ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with local banking laws and anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines. 
•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Qualifications

Field of Study
•    Bachelor /Masters Degree in Computer Science/Equivalent or IT/Maths/Statistics/Quantitative/Business 
•    Strong knowledge of IT principles and system development lifecycle. Sound statistical knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills are desirable. 

Certification:
•    Preferred to have any certifications on Data Engineering or Data Science

Domain and Technical Knowledge:
•    Excellent knowledge on Linux based infrastructure
•    Good knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
•    Experience in DevOps tech/tools like CI/CD pipeline (Preferred Azure DevOps), Containerization, Rundeck, Control-M, Ansible
•    Experience in script languages such as Bash, Python
•    Have knowledge of build, and packaging for front-end/back-end projects
•    Have knowledge of backend development like Java/Springboot or frontend development like JavaScript/React
•    Have knowledge of databases such as Oracle and Postgres

Experience:
•    Overall experience of about 10+ years anticipated. 3+ years of experiences in DevOps role.
