Job Summary
Experienced mobile technology leader responsible for the technical direction, engineering standards and delivery governance of the mobile banking platform across Android, iOS and Huawei/HarmonyOS ecosystems. The role owns the mobile platform architecture, quality, security, resilience and release readiness across multiple squads and markets, ensuring scalable, secure and maintainable mobile experiences for clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the technical direction, engineering standards and platform roadmap for the mobile banking application across Android, iOS and Huawei/HarmonyOS ecosystems.
• Ensure mobile solutions are secure, scalable, performant, accessible and resilient across supported devices, operating systems and app distribution channels.
• Partner with product, architecture, security and platform teams to sequence backlog items through a mobile engineering lens, balancing client impact, technical risk and platform sustainability.
• Govern mobile technical debt, including OS version support, device fragmentation, deprecated libraries, WebView compatibility, performance bottlenecks and maintainability risks.
• Review and approve solution intent for mobile platform changes, ensuring alignment with architecture standards, security controls and eSDLC requirements.
• Present mobile architecture decisions, platform standards and market-impacting changes to the architecture review forum.
• Drive mobile release readiness across markets, including app store dependencies, regression risk, environment readiness, observability, incident learnings and rollback considerations.
• Collaborate with Security Champions to identify and implement mobile security controls, including app hardening, secure storage, certificate pinning, biometric flows, RASP and jailbreak/root detection.
Business
• Develop and drive the mobile platform strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the Domain Tech Lead, architecture, security, product and market technology teams.
Processes
• Regularly review squad metrics for predictability, quality, delivery flow, mobile platform health and squad sentiment, and support teams to improve value delivery.
• Work with mobile engineering chapters to promote quality engineering, technical craftsmanship, reusable platform capabilities, consistent mobile standards and reduced duplication across markets.
People & Talent
• Contribute to technical innovation and share knowledge within the engineering community.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, lead internal workshops and seminars, encourage team participation in innovation initiatives
Governance
• Comply with System Delivery controls and attest for it with every (technical) release to production

Skills and Experience
• Strong mobile engineering leadership experience across Android and iOS platforms, with working knowledge of Huawei/HarmonyOS ecosystem considerations.
• Experience with native mobile architectures, mobile platform governance, SDK integration, app lifecycle management and hybrid mobile/WebView patterns.
• Strong understanding of Android/Kotlin/Java, iOS/Swift, mobile build pipelines, app signing, certificates, app store release processes and mobile CI/CD.
• Experience managing mobile non-functional requirements, including performance, accessibility, security, observability, resilience, compatibility and supportability.
• Knowledge of secure mobile application design, including secure storage, biometric authentication, certificate pinning, app hardening, RASP and jailbreak/root detection.
• Understanding of API integration patterns for mobile applications, including REST/JSON, authentication, latency management, offline/error handling and network resilience.
• Experience leading engineering teams in Agile delivery, quality engineering, automated testing, DevOps and production release governance.
Qualifications
• BSC in Computer Science or relevant certifications
