• FM PSS is responsible for providing 24*7 user and production support for all Financial Markets Front and Back Office applications in Standard Chartered Bank. The SABRE PSS team is responsible for providing 24*7 support to financial market users located globally. The team supports approximately 40+ applications which provide a platform for trade booking & risk management.
Key Responsibilities
• Support primary risk management application SABRE – front to back including batch processing.
• Work closely with the traders and middle office users to fix booking, pricing and risk related issues.
• Perform in depth technical BAU application support.
• Act as a Level2 support for Level1 team in India.
• Prioritize work to successfully deliver service in a diverse environment.
• Monitoring of production applications using ITRS GENEOS.
• Perform impact analysis on application changes and act as change manager for the team.
• Perform application releases and changes into PROD/DR environments.
• Manage incidents, problems, changes, of varying complexity.
• Put forward ideas to improve automation and/or efficiency and own through to implementation.
• Monitor batch processing, enhance batch processing and ensure batches meet SLA’s.
• Manage escalations to development and the business.
• Track incidents and provide regular updates to key stakeholders on status and progress.
• Manage/coordinate recurring issues and ensure long-term resolution.
• Drive Engineering and BUILD (Development) teams for bug fixes.
• Drive development teams for application enhancements to improve supportability of the platform.
• Participate in the bank wide DR tests and FM PSS monthly DR Failovers.
• Work closely with UNIX/Database/Network Infrastructure teams on stability improvement programs or general improvements to the environments.
• Manage open risks and audit points through to closure.
• Perform risk reviews of the environment and raise new risks where/when applicable.
• Stakeholder management with FO trading, Middle Office, Product Control, Development and Infrastructure teams.
• Application documentation.
Our Ideal Candidate
• At least 3-8 years of production support experience within a financial services organisation and prior experience in supporting risk management applications.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change and Problem Management).
• Good knowledge of trade booking & life cycling for FX Options/IRDs/Commodities/Credit Derivatives products.
• Strong knowledge in managing UNIX based environments.
• Good knowledge in Oracle database, Oracle Golden Gate, Postgres, Clickhouse, MinIO, Nginx F5, Cloudera Hadoop, Kubernetes, BMC Control-M, SAN/NAS file systems.
• Keenness to understand and resolve trade booking, life cycling, PnL & Risk related issues.
• Ability to debug and resolve issues related to UNIX, Kubernetes, Hadoop & Java based applications.
• Ability to resolve recurring incidents through problem management.
• Prior experience in release/change management would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Shell or Python scripting to automate manual tasks.
• Experience in configuration and management of monitoring observability toolsets (Geneos ITRS / ELK).
• Strong team player.
• Flexible to cover different time zones and to work on weekends.
