Title: Tech Lead

Job Summary
The Tech Lead is responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of projects, with a focus of in-country solution deliveries in the assigned area. This role is heavily involved in leading cross-functional deliveries from both Group and In-Country Solution teams cutting across different Business domains from CIB, WRB and Functions, coordinating the team in implementing technical solutions, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. It requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and stakeholder management to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management.
• Plan and manage the technical aspects of projects, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Collaborate with project managers to define technical deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Technical Leadership
• Lead and coordinate the technical direction and oversight for the design, development, and implementation of solutions.
• Ensure the architectural decisions and system designs meet scalability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
Team Collaboration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers and stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication and ensure alignment between business and technical teams.
Stakeholder Management
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and communicate technical challenges and solutions.
• Present project updates, risks, and outcomes to management and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the team’s technical practices.
Strategy
• Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
Business
• Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates.
Processes
• Responsible for the system architecture, development, build and deployment processes of the resilience solutions to be delivered.
Skills and Experience
Leadership Skills:
• Strong Project Management skills.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Technical Skills:
• Solid understanding of software deployment practice. Banking application development experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Agile/ Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
Communication Skills:
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with Fluent English.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- LANGUAGES ENGLISH, CHINESE
