Key Responsibilities
- This role is responsible for Cash Management process in Japan.
- To manage and oversee the daily operations of the team with the aim to maximizing the productivity of the team and to ensure that efficient and high-quality services are provided to our valued customers.
Strategy
- Understand local regulations/rules and those requirement on the process
- Understand products/process/procedures
- Share knowledge with the team members and ensure all team staff are on the same page
- Review and enhance department procedures and seek any opportunity to improve productivity
- Monitor workflow and ensure all transactions are promptly processed by the agreed turnaround times for Stakeholders
- Be responsible for control of day to day processes and escalate issues, incidents, and complaints in timely manner
- Identify risks, close gaps, and ensure healthy and safety operations
- Report status to the management including any issues adequately and take necessary action quickly complying with group policies and procedures as well as with local regulations and market practices
- Follow up and resolve day to day issues with clients and internal Stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationship with key internal stakeholders
- Protect company’s reputation and manage clients’ expectation
- Proactively take team/global initiatives for continuous improvement
- Conduct sample testing in a timely manner with quality
- Review the end to end process and gap analysis process gap for the department’s productivity and control

Processes
- Process and monitor Cash transactions: FXYCS , FCY , Domestic Zengin payments and Clearing house
- Account maintenance relegated statement, billing
- Review department procedures periodically
- Follow-up and resolve day-to-day operations issues with clients and stakeholders
- Day to day & monthly reconciliation
- Regulatory reporting
People & Talent
- Well communicate with related department to create a productive relationship/trust for the business growth.
- Support to manage outside service provider (Hub) communicating/coordinating well and help them
- Be responsible for control of day-to-day processing of CMS well coordinating with Hub team
- Monitor department’s moral and constantly motivate staff for their growth and development.
Risk Management
- Understand local Laws/Regulations and those required on the process
- Identify risks, close gaps and ensure healthy and safety operations
- Report status to colleague or line manager including any issues adequately and take necessary action quickly by complying with Group policies & procedures as well as with local regulations and market practices
- Support root cause analysis for incidents
- Protect company’s reputation and mitigate customer’s complaint by promptly taking action/providing solution
- Process risk related actions in systems when necessary
- Comply with applicable Money Laundering Prevention Procedures, and in particular, report any suspicious activity to the Unit Money Laundering Prevention Office and Line Manager
Governance
- Protect company’s reputation and mitigate customer’s complaint by promptly taking action/providing solution.
- Vigilant to identify material operational risks
- Organized recordkeeping, sharing and transparency of day to day works, control checks, initiatives, risk mitigation plans within the team and for stakeholders in line with team and local guideline and/or global standard
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
