Job Description: 

JOB SUMMARY

SME Banking provides a suite of trade and working capital products to support companies in Singapore to manage their business needs. 

As a Trade Product Manager, you will be expected to drive the products take-up under your oversight to achieve growth in product performances. You will need to ensure that the trade and working capital products meet the needs of Medium Enterprises (ME) client segments. 

This role reports directly to Head, Product and Strategy, SME Banking and will work closely with key stakeholders such as Transaction Banking, Group SME Banking Product, ME Sales, Credit, Operational Risk, Legal, Marketing and Compliance teams to roll out product initiatives in a timely and effective manner.

Role & responsibilities 
•    Responsible for executing end-to-end trade and working capital product initiatives in alignment with the business budgets and country credit policies 
•    Supports and expand product enhancements and commercialisation of new initiatives 
•    Work jointly with Sales, Governance, Compliance to drive revenue and business acquisitions.
•    Liaise with internal and external stakeholders incl. vendors, regulators when necessary

Product management and development 
•    Explore new revenue streams, commercialisation strategy and grow market share 
•    Manage all product related queries from stakeholders 
•    Understands customers’ needs and develop client valued propositions 
•    Articulates product strategies and drives key initiatives 
•    Manage new product launches and product enhancements 
•    Provides training to stakeholders including Sales, Call Centre, Operations

Financial performance and profitability 
•    Conduct on-going competitor analysis to capture opportunities and mitigate threats 
•    Develop product and sales strategy jointly with stakeholders to achieve budget objectives
•    Determines product pricing to meet product profitability targets 
•    Improve process efficiency through digital transformation to scale business growth 

Risk, Compliance & Governance 
•    Work with Credit risk team to design optimum client on-boarding and client management polices 
•    Address Operational risks and Busines risks related to the product.
•    Work with Operation teams to improve client servicing standards
•    Handle client management issues on the product  
•    Ensure compliance of regulatory requirements

The candidate must 5+ years’ experience managing trade and working capital products for SME clients.

•    Skilled in strategic planning, positioning products to meet client needs, managing credit risks, and maximizing revenue generation.

Business
•    Comprehensive Trade and Working Capital solutions are available to clients, covering Import, Export, and Cash offerings.
•    Strong understanding of industry trends and competitors’ products.
•    Solid grasp of pricing mechanisms, funding costs, and credit risk premiums.

Processes
•    Analytical, with a strong ability to review and analyze workflows and procedures to drive process improvements and enhance client experience. 
•    Skilled in preparing and writing comprehensive, analytics-driven product and credit proposals for senior management’s assessment. 
•    Familiar with the Bank’s credit assessment, risk monitoring, and loan booking systems. 

People & Talent

Risk Management
•    Possess strong experiences in Corporate Credit Risk Assessment

•    Has experience managing internal and external audits, as well as similar exercises. s experiences in managing internal and external audits or equivalent exercises

Our Ideal Candidate

•    5+ years of experience in Trade Finance / Working Capital products, with strong exposure to SME / Medium Enterprise clients

•    Strong understanding of end-to-end trade products (Import, Export, Guarantees) and working capital solutions

•    Proven ability to drive product growth, commercialization, and revenue performance

•    Solid knowledge of credit risk assessment, pricing frameworks, and regulatory requirements

•    Experience in managing product lifecycle including launches, enhancements, and process improvements

•    Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across Sales, Risk, Compliance, and Operations.

•    Analytical mindset with experience in market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and identifying growth opportunities.

•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

•    Self-driven, adaptable, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
•    Certifications - Corporate credit risk assessment, International Trade Finance.
