Strategy
Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to Tax CoE.
Business
Expert Awareness and understanding of the Tax business in which the Group Tax team operates and Project Manager.
Processes
• Work closely with in country business partners in attaining the requirements / sharing the system / product knowledge. Responsible Project Manager to deliver all Direct / Indirect Tax Change process. Working experience in the Direct / Indirect Tax processes, Long View Application, and Change process Candidate having working experience in Group Consolidation in line with IFRS requirements Candidate should be able to drive / manage backlog process
• In the capacity of Project Manager, candidate should be capable to prioritize the requirements
• Work closely with in country business partners in attaining the requirements / sharing the system / product knowledge
• Candidate would be responsible to Project Manage the entire Long View workstream to deliver all objectives agreed for the year.
• Responsible Project Manager to deliver all Direct / Indirect Tax Change process.
• Working experience in the Direct / Indirect Tax processes, applications, and Change process
• Candidate having working experience in Group Consolidation in line with IFRS requirements
• Candidate should be able to drive / manage backlog process
• In the capacity of Project Manager, candidate should be capable to prioritize the requirements
• The project Governance needs to be managed E2E
• Candidate should the overall project communications and engagement throughout the project life cycle.
• Conducting stands up meeting and providing daily / weekly / monthly MI as warrant by the project
• Knowledge on raising and tracking incidence tickets for production issues
• Managing BAU hand off for the project
• Familiar with Agile and Waterfall project development models
• Escalating risks and challenges in the process appropriately.
• Creating backup for the process
People & Talent
• Postgraduate / Professional degree with 15+ years of relevant finance experience in project / business analyst role.
• Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Preferable Project Manager certification (PMP, Scrum, Agile)
• Understanding of technical tools would be added advantage
Risk Management
Identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Project. Ability to interpret the Bank’s reporting requirements, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
Governance
Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the PMO’s framework, in which the Tax CoE operates and expectations relevant to the role.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Qualifications
• Postgraduate / Professional degree with 15+ years of relevant finance experience in project / business analyst role.
• Strong and effective leadership communication skills with a proven ability to influence & challenge the senior stakeholders effectively
• Proactive approach to recognising stakeholder needs, solving problems, anticipating issues, and developing solutions, excellent business judgment and strategic thinking.
• Able to work in a high-pressure environment and ability to manage multiple deliverables in a timely and effective manner
• Strong networking and interpersonal skills, forming positive working relationship in in a geographically and culturally dispersed environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills i.e., PowerPoint, Excel
