Job Summary

The Vice President, Corporate Actions & Asset Servicing Operations is a leadership role within Financing & Securities Services, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing operational activities across the Global Business Services (“GBS”) network in support of onshore markets and clients.

The primary focus of the role is to:
•    Ensure the accurate, timely and efficient processing of all Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing events across the supported markets and GBS hubs.
•    Drive and maintain high standards of risk management, control discipline, regulatory compliance and service excellence across the operational footprint.
•    Promote standardisation, harmonisation and the adoption of best practices across locations to improve consistency, scalability and operational resilience.
•    Deliver agreed client, operational, risk and financial performance metrics while maintaining a strong client-focused culture.
•    Lead operational readiness and execution for market changes, regulatory developments, product enhancements and strategic initiatives impacting Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing.

The Vice President, Corporate Actions & Asset Servicing Operations plays a key role in shaping the operational strategy in partnership with Product, Client Management, Technology and Operations leadership. The role is responsible for identifying and delivering opportunities to simplify processes, enhance controls, automate manual activities and improve service outcomes.

The role requires extensive collaboration with regional and country stakeholders, including Product Management, Client Management, Sales, Technology, Operations Risk, Compliance and Change Management teams, to drive operational excellence, support business growth and ensure consistent delivery across the operating model.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Product: Partnering with Custody & Clearing product management to define functional and product strategy and selecting best paths for execution and support. 
•    Position & Promote: Participate in selected market advisory forums to position and promote the perspective and objectives of SCB, seeking to enhance market process and practice. 
•    Process Standardization: Define and drive Custody & Clearing Operations Strategy to streamline processes, enhance productivity, reduce risk, improve controls, leveraging technologies. 
•    Risk & control: Deliver a robust control environment which mitigates the risk of loss and safeguards the Banks assets. 
•    Ops Efficiency: Identify process areas in GBS (and countries) to automate, eliminate leading to optimization of end-to-end flows. 
•    Compliance: Drive consistency across processes, governance, and risk controls ensuring compliance to policies  

Business
•    The role holder is responsible for leading the Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing operations function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable and client-focused services across the Global Business Services (GBS) network while maintaining a strong risk and control environment.
•    The successful candidate should possess extensive experience in Corporate Actions and Custody Operations, with a strong understanding of both domestic and global custody operating models, market-specific requirements, and regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions. Prior experience leading Corporate Actions operations teams and driving large-scale operational transformation initiatives is essential.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Lead the end-to-end delivery of Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing operations, ensuring accurate, timely and controlled processing of voluntary and mandatory corporate action events across supported markets.
•    Drive operational excellence by enhancing service quality, client experience, efficiency, productivity and operational resilience across the Corporate Actions operating model.
•    Establish and maintain a robust risk and control framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, internal policies, audit requirements and operational risk standards.
•    Partner with Product, Client Management, Sales, Technology and Operations teams to support business growth, product development and the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
•    Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, automate and digitise processes, reducing operational complexity while improving scalability and control effectiveness.
•    Lead and develop diverse teams across locations, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, talent development and employee engagement.
•    Drive the Corporate Actions transformation agenda, including the implementation of market infrastructure changes, regulatory reforms, platform modernisation and process re-engineering initiatives.
•    Ensure delivery of agreed client, operational, financial and risk metrics, proactively identifying emerging issues, implementing corrective actions and driving sustainable improvements.
•    Promote the adoption of best practices across locations, ensuring consistent operating standards, governance and service delivery outcomes.
•    Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, market infrastructures, custodians, regulators and industry bodies, to support strategic objectives and maintain market competitiveness.
•    Monitor industry developments, market practices and emerging trends in Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing, translating insights into practical initiatives that strengthen the Bank's operating model and client offering.
•    Support the execution of the Financing & Securities Services strategy by contributing to initiatives that enhance operational capabilities, strengthen client outcomes, improve efficiency and support the long-term growth of the business.

Processes
•    Lead and oversee end-to-end Corporate Actions and Asset Servicing operations, ensuring accurate, timely and controlled processing of all mandatory and voluntary corporate action events in accordance with established service level agreements, client commitments and market deadlines.
•    Ensure consistent delivery of operational services by monitoring performance against key service, risk and control metrics, proactively addressing exceptions and driving continuous improvement across the operating model.
•    Manage and coordinate the resolution of Corporate Actions-related escalations, acting as the primary point of engagement for internal stakeholders, clients, market infrastructures, custodians, regulators and senior management.
•    Maintain a robust risk and control framework, ensuring that risks associated with voluntary and complex corporate action events are identified, assessed, monitored and effectively mitigated to minimise operational losses, client impact and regulatory breaches.
•    Drive a strong culture of operational excellence, accountability and disciplined execution, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and control standards.
•    Prioritise strategic and operational objectives and execute initiatives that support Financing & Securities Services, Financial Markets Operations and broader Bank-wide priorities.
•    Leverage data, management information and industry insights to identify process improvement opportunities, support decision-making and drive operational efficiencies.
•    Partner with Product, Technology, Risk, Client Management and Operations teams to develop scalable solutions that enhance client experience, strengthen controls and improve operational effectiveness.
•    Demonstrate strong operational risk awareness by proactively identifying emerging risks, control gaps and process vulnerabilities, and implementing sustainable remediation actions.
•    Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of preventive and detective controls to maintain a strong risk and governance environment.

•    Drive the Corporate Actions transformation agenda through process simplification, standardisation, digitisation and automation initiatives, improving scalability, resilience and service outcomes.
•    Deliver productivity, efficiency and cost optimisation targets while maintaining service quality, control effectiveness and client satisfaction.
•    Lead, develop and mentor teams across locations, fostering a high-performance culture focused on capability building, succession planning, employee engagement and continuous learning.
•    Build and maintain strong working relationships with key business stakeholders, clients and support functions to ensure alignment on strategic priorities, service delivery expectations and change initiatives.
•    Support and strengthen operational resilience by leading business continuity planning, capacity management, contingency arrangements and recovery preparedness, ensuring effective responses to operational disruptions and market events.
•    Promote the adoption of best practices across locations and teams to achieve consistent service standards, governance and operational discipline across the Corporate Actions function.

People & Talent
•    Build a qualified FSS pipeline that is sufficiently diverse to realise short term revenue objectives while also building for the future, balancing between large strategic mandates and less complex deals. 
•    Build and expand the Bank’s network to reach potential clients to assess new sales opportunities and prioritise those opportunities accordingly in consideration of the business gestation period. 
•    Bring together an appropriate deal team with (1) FSS Sales, (2) Relationship Managers, (3) Product, (4) Client Solutions, as well as (6) FM Sales and (7) CCIB Client Coverage colleagues and agree priorities across deal team members to secure mandates. 
•    Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., FM Sales, Client Coverage, etc.) to identify target clients, and agree and execute on (a) Growing incremental client income from existing clients, through increasing wallet share and onboarding new services and (b) Generating new client income from New-to-Bank or New-to-FSS client.

Risk Management
•    Advanced knowledge of RISK gradings, BASIL Norms
•    Ensure all control/operating procedure and documentations are properly followed.
•    Ensure compliance to all established procedures, regulations and the Group Guidelines.
•    To keep track of changes (internal and external) affecting Clients and communicate such changes, along with impact analyses, on a pro-active basis, through newsflashes, market insights, operations guides and through other routine communication. 
•    Diving end to end process reviews. Driving Process Risk Assessment’s and key control reviews and implementing right controls. 
•    Producing Root Cause Assessment for issues/Incidents.
•    Partner with risk and other internal teams (GIA/UORM’s) during reviews and mitigate any risk findings.

Governance

•    Ensure credit, operational, legal, regulatory, reputation, compliance is held to the highest standards of risk management (at a product and enterprise level as relevant) • Identify and mitigate risks through day-to-day analysis of transactional data, external factors and other drivers 
•    Identify and mitigate digital and data risks in accordance to local markets’ data protection and privacy laws 
•    Keep abreast with changing regulatory requirements and provide advisory support to clients
