Title: Associate Director, Compliance Control Room

Key Responsibilities
Control Room Associate Director based in Warsaw will be supporting the execution of the team’s responsibilities. The primary areas of responsibility will be managing and performing the core functions owned by the Control Room including:
- review all types of employee declarations (Personal Account Dealing; Outside Business Activities) to ensure compliance with SCB policies and procedures aimed at mitigating conflicts of interest’s risk and misuse of information risk,
- assist with the daily review of Transactional Conflict Clearance Requests, wall-crossing, restricted list, or other conflicts monitoring lists and research clearance,
- participate in materiality analyse of MNPI, borrower restricted, syndicate private and confidential information,
- provide clear guidance to other members of the Global Control Room as well as the Global Lines of Business,
- oversee the design, implementation, and improvement of conflict management policies, internal procedures,
- perform internal process reviews and quality checks,
- support and initiate special projects and ad hoc tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or finance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in conflicts management within a global financial institution, preferably in a control room or compliance function.
- Deep understanding of investment banking products e.g. project finance, acquisition finance, trade finance, capital markets deals – bonds issuance; services, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAR, MiFID II).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced communication skills in English (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
- Personal authority, integrity, and ethics.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work under pressure and handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
- Pro-active and possess continuous improvement mindsets to improve compliance services.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks or special assignment and to deliver as per timeline & expectation.
- Ability to work in a shift pattern on a rota system to cover New York working hours and during Polish Public Holidays.
