The Information & Cyber Security (ICS) Client & Third Party Security (CTPS) team delivers a range of threat-led awareness initiatives for our diverse portfolio of clients and external partners. As an Associate Director within CTPS’ Client Threat Intelligence & Engagement Programme, you will play a key role in the delivery of the Bank’s global client ICS awareness portfolio , responsible for developing and delivering threat-led client presentations that help retail and corporate clients understand and protect themselves against evolving cyber threats.
This role will help build an industry-leading capability designed to influence client security behaviours and reinforce the Bank’s position as a trusted and secure financial partner.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical understanding of cyber security combined with excellent communication and storytelling skills. They will be comfortable translating complex technical threats into clear, engaging narratives tailored to a range of audiences. Experience in behavioural change, marketing or design will be highly valued, as the role involves developing creative, high-impact materials and presentations that drive meaningful awareness and action amongst our clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging and actionable intelligence-led client awareness initiatives (including presentation materials and newsletters)
- Maintain and refresh the existing client awareness product suite, including content hosted on our newly launched Cyber Fraud Hub (available for all clients on our public sc.com website)
- Support the Director, Client Threat Intelligence & Engagement to identify new and innovative awareness initiatives
- Liaise with customer facing business areas to ensure ICS awareness messaging is integrated into client and third-party touchpoints and communications
- Work closely with key stakeholders across ICS as well as with business and governance teams to develop creative assets, including Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing (CABM) for external website development
- Establish a ‘drumbeat’ promotion of initiatives and outcomes on Bank media channels, including curated content centered on client experiences of cyber security incident detection and prevention
- Write compelling stories to bring ICS threats to life in an engaging and meaningful way, guided by adult learning principles and frameworks
- Deliver in line with established end-to-end processes, established as part of the Technology & Operations (T&O) Process Universe
- Develop new processes as programmes mature and new initiatives are developed
- Conduct an annual review and refresh of existing processes to ensure they remain up to date and adhered to
- Capture and report on qualitative and quantitative delivery effectiveness, including generation of key insights that enable the team to continuously mature
- Deliver materials in line with all applicable regulatory, audit and control requirements, alongside the Bank’s existing governance frameworks, without compromising on business / audience requirements or creative quality
- Fulfil relevant regulatory requests for information within the stipulated time
- Track and manage the deployment and delivery of awareness initiatives, identifying blockers and impediments to enable early intervention and to meet targets on time and within budget
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Information & Cyber Security (a broad range of technical roles / competencies can be considered, providing other qualification and skillset criteria can also be met)
- Relevant working experience in managing end-to-end creative campaign delivery including developing and delivering awareness or behaviour change programmes is preferred
- Experience in leading the development of internal and/or external communications, marketing, cross-cultural communications, training initiatives
- Experience working in a highly regulated, multi-national organisation where good operational governance is preferred
- Impeccable communications skills with the ability to translate specialist language into simple-to-understand message for non-technical audiences
- Strong stakeholder and project management skills
- Knowledge of information technology and/or cyber security
- Competent and comfortable with a very dynamic and demanding environment
- English (fluent) is essential
