Job Summary

This role will involve managing data privacy in existing processes and controls, working with the various Business and Functions teams, with 2nd line Compliance colleagues and Technology to operationalise capabilities for robust, streamlined and customer centric Data & Privacy management. 

 

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team to operate data privacy capabilities for managing cookies, consents, privacy notices, data subject requests, etc.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • responding to privacy related queries from business stakeholders,
  • defining requirements for capability enhancements and changes,
  • conducting data quality scans and regular process and documentation reviews,
  • conducting impact assessments, data incident management, reporting risk metrics and operational KPIs, awareness and training, communications,
  • monitoring regulatory changes and assessing their impact on data privacy management, as well as monitoring any new, or changes to existing, technology applications, products, or operational processes, are also a part of this role. 

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in a relevant role (e.g. Compliance, Legal, Audit) or experience in a data & privacy domain of a large organisation
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Compliance and Governance, Auditing/Finance/ Risk or equivalent is a minimum requirement
  • Good understanding of Data & Privacy policies and standards (including but not limited to GDPR)
  • Experience with risk management and internal control frameworks
  • Ability to optimize processes to ensure its efficiency and effectiveness while complying with requirements
  • Certifications in data privacy are a plus (CIPP, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM),
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong track record of achievement
  • A good team player
  • Ability to work well in teams as well as independently and to provide guidance to junior members
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication and presentation skills
