Job Description

The successful candidate will be the part of a team building an innovative platform leveraging data, analytics to drive automated decision-making, smart automation across the full lifecycle of the business. You are expected to be an experienced developer in designing, building, deploying and supporting critical solutions in the Financial Markets domain. Key Responsibilities

  • Be the proactive, leading, constructive developer on a squad with crucial remit within the CAT platform.
  • Build services with a framework and generic pattern mindset for scale across multiple dimensions – optimized compute/performance, functional, visualization, quality control.
  • Develop scalable real-time low-latency processing solutions in an agile delivery method.
  • Design, develop and maintain applications that are used by other development teams and directly by front office users.
  • Show ownership and understanding of Front Office / Trading workflows and user characteristics with bond trading experience preferable. 
  • Implement safe defensive coding, intelligent design, access control, in supportable applications.
  • Support database integration (postgres/mongo) caching (hazelcast), communication (solace), security (hashicorp, SSO tokens, Kong integration).
  • Effectively and proactively manage resource usage.
  • Do whatever it takes to maintain stability, availability and performance.
  • Provide Production L3 support as required.
  • Partner with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions – deep understanding of the problem and context along with ownership are key to be successful in this role.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 10 years experience designing, developing with focus on Credit applications.
  • Bsc/BTech/BE equivalent in Computer Science.
  • Interaction with Back End services and data processing.
  • Understanding of design patterns to build reusable, maintainable applications.
  • Experience in all or some of these: Solace, React, Java, gRPC.
  • Understanding and demonstrable experience of modern architecture/designs – micro-services/API-first development/high-throughput/event-driven/agent-based system, compositional frameworks.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in modern dev-ops - CI/CD Build and Static Analysis tools.
  • Desirable: understanding of swing / programmatic GUI construction, web sockets, web workers.
  • Experience in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Role specific technical skills and competencies: Data Processing, Application Security, SDLC / Testing / Delivery, Database integration, Networked Application development.
