The Cyber Security Principal Engineer will be a senior technical person responsible for delivering the bank’s unified cyber and financial crime monitoring platform. Working under the Cyber Platform Engineering Lead, this role will bridge engineering excellence, process maturity, and organizational collaboration to deliver a data-driven, cloud-native platform that underpins threat detection, fraud prevention, and financial crime analytics across the enterprise. Role will have influence on end to end architecture for security datalake and SIEM platforms. Role require depth engineering and security understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of platform initiatives, from architecture and design to deployment and operational readiness.
- Standardize ingestion and transformation processes using OCSF/Avro schemas and DevSecOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible).
- Implement continuous monitoring and observability frameworks across Databricks, Kafka, and cloud workloads.
- Embed secure eSDLC practices, ensuring compliance with internal audit and regulatory controls.
- Drive process automation to improve delivery efficiency, incident response, and data onboarding lifecycle
- Support Engineering Lead to establish and maintain governance structures for platform changes, data quality, and operational integrity.
- Support Engineering Lead to define technical and process standards to ensure consistency across global environments and regions.
- Support Engineering Lead to oversee risk management activities, ensuring alignment with cyber, compliance, and audit requirements
- Maintain transparent reporting and metrics on platform health, availability, and compliance posture.
- Ensure data residency and sovereignty requirements are met for all Financial Crime data processing and storage.
Our Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or threat detection.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experienced in Scripting Knowledge (Bash / Python / SQL DB’s / API’s / PowerShell / Shell).
- Experienced in DevOps tool stack like Azure ADO, Jenkins, Git/bitbucket, SonarQube, Artifactory, application scanning software’s, docker registry to enable teams to adopt Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployments.
- Experience with DevOps & Automation tools like Puppet, Ansible, Terrafor.
- Knowledge about Apache Nifi, Apache Kafka.
- Proven experience in Data Platform Engineering.
- Hands-on experience in Security Datat analytics.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects.
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven mindset.
- Integrity, accountability, and a commitment to the organization’s values.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
