The Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) organisation is instrumental in protecting and ensuring the resilience of Standard Chartered Bank’s data and IT systems by managing Information and Cyber Security (ICS) risk across the enterprise. 
ICS Identity and Access Management domain is central to ensuring the Bank’s ability to meet its ICS commitment to internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, as well as maintaining an acceptable ICS risk profile that is regularly reported to the Board, and that is supported by the Group ICS Risk & Governance Function.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Drive consistency in translating ICS and IAM Strategy into actionable programmes and initiatives across multiple regions.
  • Work closely with IAM CPOs to define and manage programme scope, benefits (financial, risk, regulatory) and delivery roadmaps.
  • Track and facilitate dependency management within and outside ICS IAM.
  • Implement updated governance standards and ensure compliance with Change Delivery Standards.
  • Ensure the voices of clients and relevant stakeholders (regional / country representatives) are represented throughout the programme lifecycle (ideation – development – deployment – operations).
  • Provide transparency around progress, blockers, impediments, dependencies and value delivery via fit-for-purpose business and delivery metrics.
  • Partner with Global Head of ICS IAM, CISO, HR Business Partners, Sourcing & Vendor Management and ICS Portfolio Delivery Partners.
  • Ensure alignment to process management taxonomy and bank standards.
  • Optimise end-to-end customer journey through process mapping, applying best practice and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Engage process and risk control owners early in programme and process changes.
  • Ensure regular engagement and management of process change, operational and delivery risks across the programme backlog.
  • Balance technical debt, risk and regulatory items with new functionality to keep cost of change low.
  • Enforce and maintain IAM governance protocols to ensure adherence to highest security standards and best practices.
  • Establish frameworks to manage security policies, procedures and controls effectively.

Skills and Experience

 

  • 8+ years of experience delivering large-scale, complex technology or cyber security / IAM programmes, ideally in financial services or regulated industries.
  • Hands-on experience managing global, multi-stakeholder initiatives and reporting at senior management / board level.
  • Familiarity with Identity & Access Management concepts, operating models, controls and regulatory expectations.
  • Ability to translate IAM technical or regulatory requirements into business-aligned delivery plans.
  • Programme Management-related certification (e.g. PMP, Agile PM) is beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of “Ways of Working” and flow of work (Agile, SAFe or equivalent) is essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working across geographies, time zones and in a hybrid working model.
