Title: Senior Manager, Data and Privacy (fixed term contract 15 months)

Job Summary
This role will involve managing data privacy in existing processes and controls, working with the various Business and Functions teams, with 2nd line Compliance colleagues and Technology to operationalise capabilities for robust, streamlined and customer centric Data & Privacy management.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team to operate data, records and privacy controls to mitigate risks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, data and privacy risk assessments, business process design and assessments, data protection impact assessments, data incident management, awareness and training, verification that proper risk assessments have been completed and up to date for vendors handling personal data, and verify applicable vendor agreements include required privacy and data protection terms according to global policy, client requirements and applicable privacy law.
• Design/ re-design processes and controls to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards in the most efficient, streamlined and customer-centric way for the Group
• Draft / update policies, guidelines, procedures and documentation as required based on external or internal changes
• Participate in the choice and implementation of technology solutions, including, but not limited to requirements gathering, driving build vs buy decisions
• Drive change and adoption including, but not limited to, creating communications (e.g. launch campaigns), training materials as well as delivery of training
• Facilitate workshops with 1st line of defence, 2nd line of defence and Technology to source inputs and document outcomes on e.g.:
o risks and controls,
o requirements for applications supporting data and privacy management,
o proposed processes, controls, frameworks / templates, solutions
• Monitor any new, or changes to existing, technology applications, products, or operational processes and ensures that data and privacy risks are appropriately managed.
• Collaborate with the Legal, Data Security, Information Technology and Compliance departments to identify and control data, records and privacy risks
• Conduct assessments / surveys (e.g. on privacy impact / risk & controls) / data gathering and analysis on applications, products, processes, documentation and third parties to evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a relevant role (e.g. Compliance, Legal, Audit) or experience in a data & privacy domain of a large organisation
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Compliance and Governance, Auditing/Finance/ Risk or equivalent is a minimum requirement
- Good understanding of Data & Privacy policies and standards (including but not limited to GDPR)
- Experience with risk management and internal control frameworks
- Ability to optimize processes to ensure its efficiency and effectiveness while complying with requirements
- Certifications in data privacy are a plus (CIPP, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM),
- Highly motivated individual with a strong track record of achievement
- A good team player
- Ability to work well in teams as well as independently and to provide guidance to junior members
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Excellent critical thinking, communication and presentation skills
