Job Summary

The Senior PMO supports an effective project delivery, by establishing a robust governance for a project, in line with Group and country standards for project management.

Proactively supports a dedicated Project Manager, through effective facilitation, tracking and project reporting. This includes development of project governance, creating and maintaining project documentation, setting up a project in Clarity, updating project details in the right systems (Clarity, ADO), managing and reporting project financials.

Working closely with project workstreams by attending working groups, preparing meeting minutes, decks & materials, and reporting progress to the governance forums.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain the project governance framework, including the reporting cadence, meeting structures, and associated artifacts. 
  • Ensure compliance with the Change Delivery Standards (CDS) and promote awareness of these standards throughout the project. 
  • Conduct regular reviews to evaluate the project's adherence to established standards. 
  • Promote consistency across project documentation, RAID logs, change controls, and other relevant records. 
  • Ensure the accurate and consistent use of project data within the Bank's systems (Clarity, ADO). 
  • Provide support to the project team.
  • Support the Project Manager in developing a comprehensive project plan, ensuring alignment with the approved business case. 
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure that initiative plans are synchronized and integrated with the overall Programme delivery plan. 
  • Support the Project Manager in maintaining the project plan, including but not limited to the tracking of key milestones and timelines. 
  • Consolidate and monitor the comprehensive resource management view of the project, identifying any gaps relative to forecasted requirements. 
  • Support in the development and maintenance of project budgets and financial forecasts. 
  • Deliver high-quality progress reports, dashboards, and status updates for stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear and concise messaging. 
  • Ensure that the approved business case and subsequent Change Requests are accurately documented in Clarity. 
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to keep Clarity / other reporting systems updated with the latest data, including status updates, key milestones, financials, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource forecasts. 

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in Project Management or 5+ years in Project PMO role - preferred experience within a large international, dynamic organisation.
  • Experience in using Clarity: managing project timelines, risks / issues & financials.
  • Project Management accreditation – PMP/ITIL/PRINCE2/ Agile - nice to have, but not required.
  • Experience in working on Agile and waterfall projects.
  • Understand Project Lifecycles and Scope Management
  • Able to interpret and analyse Project outputs (Schedules, Financials & Benefits)
  • Skills in use of planning tools e.g. Clarity (must have), ADO & Confluence - an advantage
  • MS Project skills – an advantage
  • High levels of personal accountability and proactive initiative taking, together with a pragmatic, customer-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills – oral, written and presentation with an ability to engage and support a variety of stakeholder levels including senior management
  • Ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders, internal resources, vendors/suppliers/consultants, and partners at all organizational levels 
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills. Professional demeanour to maintain and enhance relationships.
  • Good MS Office Suite Skills including SharePoint
  • A great communicator with advanced English (written and spoken) language skills
  • Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment
