Job Summary

The main objective of this role is to actively participate in Treasury innovation and digitalisation programme, through creating and embedding in-house solutions for stakeholders globally. Our goal is to support business in top-level decision-making process by providing scalable and integrated platform with advanced forecasting and analytical capabilities.

The role is a part of Modelling & Forecasting Solutions Team which develops and maintains P&L forecasting models that offer forward-looking insights, enabling the business and Treasury to optimize returns and manage risks effectively under various scenario settings.

We are looking for talented individuals who can integrate business knowledge and technical skills to drive optimal analytical / forecasting solutions for the bank. This entry-level position is ideal for a candidate with a strong foundation in Python programming and an interest in financial modelling and forecasting. The successful candidate will actively participate in developing and transitioning forecasting models into strategic solutions that support the bank's Treasury decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, testing and maintenance of P&L forecasting models using Python.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to ensure models are aligned with business requirements.
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements.
  • Build prototypes, design and implement new functionalities.
  • Conduct data analysis to support model development and validation.
  • Document model assumptions and methodologies.
  • Providing support, analysis, walkthroughs, and explanations to the users and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the migration of models into strategic solutions.
  • Process automation and optimization.

Skills and Experience

Requirements (must have)

  • Final year of study or degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Basic knowledge of financial instruments and banking products.
  • Basic understanding of financial modelling and forecasting principles.
  • Knowledge of Excel and VBA.
  • Solid Python programming skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Advantages (good to have)

  • Experience & knowledge in Treasury, ALM, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk or Interest Risks Management.
  • Experience in software development projects.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Previous internship or project experience in financial modelling or related fields.
