Title: Associate Director, CFCR Governance

Job Summary
The successful candidate has a strong business acumen and understanding of Compliance Governance, Risk Management, and relating activities such as Assurance and Advisory. The candidate is highly skilled individuals with Practioners level experience in compliance governance, risk assessment and monitoring, advisory, regulatory and policy interpretation & compliance management, issue and event management and change risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Planning Management:
- Monitors CFCR performance and budgets
- Facilitates and project-manages the implementation of bank-wide and CFCR initiatives and business priorities
- Supports the implementation of the bank initiatives
- Delivers efficiency, change, and business performance agendas
- 2nd line of Defence activities relating to Conduct:
- Ensure the Conduct Management is fit for purpose
- Advise and guide the Bank on Conduct related matters
- Support Head of CFCR Governance and Head of CFCR to ensure compliance with laws and regulations in other areas as required:
- Set Compliance and Conduct frameworks, including but not limited to Compliance Governance, Risk, Control, and Review Frameworks
- Ensure the proper management of regulatory change, e.g. monitoring and tracking of regulation and its analysis as well as the maintenance of the Obligations Register according to the respective Standard and DOI under the supervision of the Head of CFCC Governance or delegate
- Perform periodic and systematic control and oversight activities
- Assist on the production of relevant Management Information (MI), (internal) Compliance reports and the oversight over and co-ordination of the Compliance function’s owned processes as well as the capture of compliance or conduct breaches and issues
Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years relevant experience in a control function (Compliance, Internal/External Audit, etc.) and demonstrated track record of experience in governance
- Compliance / Governance/ Audit background preferred, Operations background also an option
- Substantial experience in the banking/financial industry, including demonstrated success in a similar role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills – ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Creative problem-solver with good multi-tasking skills, able to prioritise issues and resolve them efficiently
- Strong project management skills, with direct experience in managing business projects at regional- or global-level
- Strong organisational skills and process discipline to drive multiple agendas
- Strong analytical skills, confidence in interrogating data and in managing stakeholders
- A clear understanding of the management of non-financial risks as well as experience regarding the performance of controls and reviews
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are must-haves
- Proficiency in English, German an Advantage, any other European language a plus
- Experience related to performing walkthroughs, risk assessments of the internal control environment, testing controls and performing substantive testing (nice to have)
