Standard Chartered Bank AG Poland Branch is an entity which is a part of Continental Europe franchise of SC Group. It was founded in November 2023 as part of SCB AG with headquarters in Frankfurt. It has its office in Warsaw Hub located in Rondo Daszynskiego 2B in Warsaw on 30th floor.
SCB AG Poland Branch provides vast majority of back and middle-office services that aim on boosting the growth of Europe business. It closely cooperates with Standard Chartered Global Business Solutions Limited, a service centre located also in Warsaw Hub premises, from which it was carved out to create an extension of continental Europe’s business.
The rapid growth of SCB AG Poland Branch is an answer to demanding and expanding business of SCB AG, that delivers the professionals with unique skills to the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the production, review, and timely submission of COREP reports, including Own Funds, Large Exposures, Leverage Ratio, to regulators in Germany - Bundesbank.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR) and Capital Requirements Directive (CRD), particularly Basel 3.1, interpreting complex regulatory texts and their impact on the Bank.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of data used in COREP submissions by implementing data quality processes, performing reconciliations, and managing issues related to data sources.
- Risk-weighted asset (RWA) calculation and analysis, regulatory interpretation, enhancing capital effectiveness by making appropriate recommendations.
- New Products implementation and testing.
- Support implementation of 21c article.
- Conduct research as required on regulations and laws.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Risk, Finance) and external parties, including regulators and auditors.
- Provide analyses of financial data as required to support reporting requirements and audits.
- Assisting with other requirements as they arise or special projects.
- Build analytic capacities, challenge underlying perceptions and understanding of the Bank’s ledger, report key findings, and make recommendations to management.
- Manage preparation of reporting analyses for senior management as directed by Head of Regulatory Reporting
- Supporting implementations within Regulatory Reporting Software ABACUS A360.
- Creation and maintenance of all process supporting documentation.
- Manage EBA Q&As as well as answering the Regulator queries.
- Supporting in implementation new policies and regulations
- Respond to queries from the regulator.
- Further automation of existing processes.
- Support in testing.
- Support in internal and external audits.
- Communication with the local regulators (BaFin, Bundesbank) regarding all regulatory reporting related matters.
- Creation and maintenance of all process supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Master’s Degree, qualifications like CIMA, ACCA, CFA would be an advantage)
- 6+ years of experience in Capital Adequacy, EU Regulations, CoRep reporting, CRR and CRD regulations expertise, in financial industry, preferably bank or consulting company.
- A wealth of experience in regulatory reporting, specifically related to COREP reporting of Risk-Weighted Assets (RWAs), Large Exposures, and various other regulatory returns.
- External Reporting
- Knowledge of EU Regulations: Deep understanding of the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD) and Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR).
- Capital Adequacy Expertise: Ability to compute and understand Own Funds requirements and Capital Adequacy Ratios.
- Risk Management: Expertise in credit risk, market risk, and operational risk, and how these risks are calculated for reporting purposes.
- Financial Accounting: Understanding of how accounting figures translate into risk-weighted exposure amounts.
- Reporting Template Knowledge: Familiarity with the standardized COREP reporting templates and any changes from new regulations.
- Internal Audit & Compliance: Experience in internal audit or compliance departments is relevant.
- Financial & Credit Analysis: A background in financial or credit analysis can be beneficial.
- Risk & Controls (Drive functional change across regulatory capital reporting policy and processes)
- Regulatory & Compliance (Basel and EBA Regulatory Rules, including capital, leverage, large exposures)
- Ability to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data in Excel & SQL
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels
