Job Description: 

 

  • Deliver exceptional trade operations and client service management for key and premier Trade Finance clients in Germany.
  • Manage complex trade transactions while ensuring compliance with internal policies, operational controls, and international trade rules.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Relationship Managers, Product Managers, and clients by providing trade finance expertise and transaction structuring support.
  • Drive service excellence, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement to support customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage client servicing activities for key and premier Trade Finance customers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, transaction-related issues, and document discrepancies.
  • Ensure service delivery meets or exceeds agreed service standards and customer expectations.
  • Support Relationship Managers with product expertise and client engagement.
  • Manage and monitor processing of trade finance transaction to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Prioritise transactions to achieve service standards and operational objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to Bank policies, operational procedures, and control requirements.
  • Support continuity of operations and stakeholder management
  • Assess, identify, and mitigate risks associated with Trade Finance transactions.
  • Monitor key operational reports and transaction activities to ensure compliance and control effectiveness.
  • Maintain strong governance and risk management practices across daily operations.
  • Escalate and resolve conduct, compliance, and operational risk concerns appropriately.
  • Identify process re-engineering opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Support implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve trade operations capabilities and service quality.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients, relationship Managers, Trade Services, GBS teams, and internal partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Support cross-selling opportunities and promote trade finance solutions where appropriate.

Qualifications

•    Minimum 8 years of Trade operations or Trade Finance experience. 
•    Experience managing complex international trade transactions. 
•    Experience working with Relationship Managers, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders. 
•    Experience in operational risk management and control environments. 
•    Experience in process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
•    CDCS/ CSDG Trade Certification from ICC 
•    Relevant banking, finance, or trade operations qualifications advantageous.
•    German (preferred for client service management)
•    French/ Spanish would be advantage
•    Languages: English (required)
