Job Summary

 

As a Cyber Threat Hunting Expert, you will play a key role in proactively identifying advanced cyber threats that evade existing security controls. Working closely with the Cyber Threat Hunting (CTH) team, you will develop and enhance detection methods, conduct in-depth threat analysis, and provide expert support during complex security incidents. Your work will drive continuous improvement of the organization’s threat hunting maturity, strengthen its defense capabilities, and ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive improvements in Cyber Threat Hunting maturity in line with evolving threat landscapes and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct proactive identification, analysis, and attribution of advanced cyber threats using internal and external threat intelligence.
  • Develop and implement tools, techniques, and methodologies to detect malicious or anomalous activities.
  • Provide expert analytical and investigative support during large-scale or complex security incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Purple Team, Security Monitoring & Analytics, Threat Management) to enhance detection capabilities.
  • Conduct research on attack patterns, adversarial techniques, and detection innovations.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and cloud detection (AWS/Azure).
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, frameworks, and governance standards.
  • Promote strong risk management, compliance awareness, and ethical conduct across all activities.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years in cybersecurity, including 3+ years in threat hunting or similar roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or cloud security automation.
  • Programming skills in Python, C/C++, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Purple Team operations and adversary simulation.
  • Proficiency in Splunk SPL and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
  • Experience in digital forensics, SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and threat analytics.
  • Advanced understanding of threat actors, TTPs, and cyber kill chain methodology.
  • Hands-on experience in Python scripting, data analysis, and automation.
  • Certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GREM, GPEN, GCFA, GCIH, or GDAT are advantageous.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to think like an adversary.
  • Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and proactive, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to continuous learning
