Job Summary
This is a role created in order to support the Head, Regulatory Regimes in the design and delivery of effective risk framework management for risks emanating from Individual Accountability, Licensing and Cross Border Policy areas. Successful candidate will work in order to Identify opportunities for enhancement to existing Policies/Standards within the purview of the Head, Regulatory Regimes and ensure there is a clear pipeline of work for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess effectiveness of cross border policy/standard and develop strategic road map for managing risks associated with cross border activities
- Identify opportunities to automate or deploy technology to streamline processes and controls or provide advice
- Develop and maintain partnerships with CFCC Advisory teams as well as business to ensure effective management of licensing and cross border risk types
- Partner with the relevant GPOs to drive simpler, faster, better execution of the relevant regulatory requirements across relevant processes that preserve the Group’s compliance with regulations
- Ensure that management of risk types are embedded in the business/functional processes, and that businesses/functions and advisory teams are equipped to monitor and manage these risks effectively
- Assume role of subject matter expert on policy areas, responding to queries from the businesses/functions as required
- Work with the first line to establish any necessary processes/controls to manage licensing and cross border risks. Ensure there is effective monitoring and reporting on these risks back to the Policy Owner
- Ensure there is effective and comprehensive MI in place to manage Licensing, Cross Border and Regulatory Conduct risks on a group wide basis
- Continue to enhance Client Engagement Rules, working with partners to ensure de-duplication and standardisation
- Review existing training available in the Bank and assess adequacy against Licensing and Cross Border Standards
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience within Banking or Financial Services
- Knowledge of Compliance and Regulatory Risk Management, Policies and Standard and Risk Assessment
- Experience in CFCC Business and Functions Advisory, CFCC Regional and Country Teams and CFCC Frameworks and Policies will be an asset
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and influencing abilities
- Ability to collaborate and work dynamically across a broad range of stakeholders
- Ability to manage geographically dispersed stakeholder base with multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Highly disciplined and structured with an outcome orientated mindset and approach
