Lead and transform the Risk function for Information & Cyber Security (ICS), driving excellence in governance, oversight, and assurance across our cybersecurity landscape. This strategic leadership role shapes the design and implementation of cutting-edge cyber security controls while ensuring operational effectiveness through continuous monitoring and improvement. You'll be at the forefront of cybersecurity risk management, providing critical insights and leadership to protect our organisation's digital assets and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an executive-level strategic risk partner to our ICS team as well as the broader business, providing pragmatic guidance on how to effectively and efficiently manage their ICS risks.
- Lead end-to-end risk management across all people, processes and assets within the ICS function, establishing a culture of proactive risk awareness.
- Develop and maintain the existing high-performing team of risk subject matter experts, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Build strategic partnerships with leaders across the organisation to facilitate:

- Growing trust with clients and regulators by supporting the ICS Function to be 'First to Know' its risks & issues, and to deliver on commitments
- The provision of timely, expert advice and comprehensive assurance
- Champion effective risk mitigation by supporting the design, build, and implementation of robust processes and controls that address evolving ICS risks, in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Engage proactively and constructively with 2LOD, Audit, and other key stakeholders around risk management and compliance matters.
- Develop and deliver timeline and accurate risk intelligence at both an operational and executive level, enabling informed decision-making.
- Drive compliance excellence across the Bank's risk framework and policies through expert guidance and proactive oversight.
- Provide expert support to remediate key ICS risks, and drive accountability through systematic tracking of issue remediation, challenging delivery status and escalating delays to appropriate levels
- Ensure organisational resilience by supporting the ICS Function to be 'First to Know' its risks & issues, and to deliver on critical commitments
- Validate risk remediation effectiveness by ensuring all corrective actions completed by ICS adequately address underlying risks (including Audit issues and deep dive findings)
- Provide inspirational leadership through strong management and coaching of colleagues, fostering professional development and career growth
- Champion proactive risk assessment through strategic stakeholder engagement and continuous monitoring of the threat environment
- Drive operational efficiency by working with other control assurance teams to enhance effectiveness and reduce duplication across functions
- Ensure effective oversight by facilitating swift resolution of high impact risks and issues through appropriate governance mechanisms
Qualifications
• 15+ years in information / cyber security, IT/cyber security audit, Cyber Risk Management or similar
• Demonstrated experience in building and managing high performing teams
• University degree in Computer Science, Risk & Control or other relevant areas.
• Expertise in information and cyber / technology risk management
• Technical knowledge on security controls best practices across different platforms, systems and security tools.
• Role model understanding of information/cyber risk management, risks and controls, audit and assurance methodologies.
• Professional qualifications such as CISA / CRISC / CISM / CISSP will be advantageous.
