Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Java Developer to join our dynamic Technology & Innovation team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Java-based applications. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of Java development principles, experience with vendor libraries, and a passion for learning in a collaborative and agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of Java applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Integrate vendor libraries to enhance application functionality.
  • Perform unit and integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Debug and resolve software defects and issues identified during testing or reported by users.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents and user guides.
  • Collaborate closely with senior developers, designers, and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Support and maintain existing applications by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Java (advanced proficiency).
  • Experience with vendor libraries integration.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with OpenFin considered an advantage.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or experience in Java development.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality and compliant solutions.
  • Good command of English (both written and spoken).
  • Interest in financial technology (FinTech) or enterprise-level software development.
