Title: Manager, Model Risk Governance

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance and oversight of the model inventory and performing a quarterly review. Tracking of the next review date and model issues. Highlight delays or changes to the appropriate escalation level.
- Preparing the quarterly reporting on model risk, risk appetite metrics, and calculating the ICAAP risk quantification for model risk. Identification of metric breaches, analysing the root-cause, engaging with the relevant stakeholders and preparing remediation plans.
- Conduct service review meetings with the Group model risk teams for the outsourced activities and track key performance indicators.
- Secretary of the Model Risk Forum. Prepare minutes of the forum. Track open actions from the meetings. Coordinate with stakeholders for the presentation of models.
- Maintain the quantification of model risk for the ICAAP. Perform an annual review of the assumptions and update accordingly. Remediate any issue identified during the review. Perform the quarterly calculation of the model risk quantification and highlight limit breaches to the appropriate escalation level.
- Support Model Champions in the implementation and adherence to the model risk framework. Perform training to stakeholders when material changes are done the Standards under Model Risk Management remit.
- Supporting audit remediation activities;
Skills and Experience
- Experience in project management. Experience engaging with stakeholders from different backgrounds and following up for delivery. Scrum master certification is a plus.
- Highly responsive with excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex matters in simple and intuitive terms to non-technical audiences both internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently and manage its own book of work.
- Experience managing large data sets and preparing reports. Python programming or other programming language is a plus.
- Relevant experience in risk governance and model and/or validation. Understanding of the concept of a model and the different phases of the model life-cycle.
- Awareness and thorough understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates including operational risk concepts. Experience with German banking regulation is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics or similar. Strong understanding of the banking industry and the economy.
