Title: Manager, Treasury Risk - Liquidity

Job Summary
Manager, Treasury Risk – Liquidity acts as the 2LoD (“Risk Controlling”) function and supports the senior manager to perform risk advisory, review and challenge and risk oversight role across Treasury Risk, including but not limited to Liquidity Risk, Funding Risk, Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), Credit Spread Risk in the Banking Book (CSRBB), Recovery & Resolution, and Intragroup Credit providing recommendations to key Committees and Senior Management, where relevant.
Key Responsibilities
- Documenting internal guidelines including, the Risk Type Framework and relevant Policies and Standards. In addition, contribute to the Risk Strategy and Risk Inventory, as well as propose and monitor Risk Appetite and Early Warning Indicators.
- Prudently oversee and review regulatory metrics including LCR, NSFR, Leverage, CET1 and Total Capital.
- Review and challenge the corporate planning and effectively challenge the linkage to balance sheet forecasting.
- Review and challenge Liquidity / IRRBB / CSRBB / funding / hedging strategy / treasury asset allocation investments.
- Proactively identify material drivers of risk as well as change in regulatory requirements and make recommendations for improving risk management.
- Ensure effective management and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations.
- Contribute to the Risk Inventory materiality assessment process and propose Risk Appetite and/or Early Warning Indicators for identified material risks for Treasury Risk.
- Identify and escalate significant issues and ensure these issues are appropriately tracked and followed up.
- Continuously improve the operational efficiencies and effectiveness of risk management processes within Treasury Risk.
- Ensure that material risk exposures and related issues are reported to the responsible governance committees and to the Management Board as appropriate.
- Proactively advise and monitor all major risk issues and concentrations.
- Maintain an open and cooperative relationship in dealings with regulators.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum degree from an accredited university and professional qualifications (MBA, CPA, etc.).
- 5+ years of substantial experience at the highest level in the banking industry or consultancy with specific expertise in Treasury Activitiesa and Risk Management.
- Strong experience in Treasury Markets, Treasury Liquidity, IRRBB and CSRBB.
- Banking Regulatory Framework and ILAAP.
- Deep knowlage of Capital Management, Ltiquidity Managemen, Balance Sheet Management and Risk Management (Funding and Liquidity).
- Certifications: Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (preferred but not mandatory).
- Business proficiency in English (Verbal & Written) & German (not mandatory).
