Standard Chartered Bank AG Poland Branch is an entity which is a part of Continental Europe franchise of SC Group. It was founded in November 2023 as part of SCB AG with headquarters in Frankfurt. It has its office in Warsaw Hub located in Rondo Daszynskiego 2B in Warsaw on 30th floor. SCB AG Poland Branch provides vast majority of back and middle-office services that aim on boosting the growth of Europe business. It closely cooperates with Standard Chartered Global Business Solutions Limited, a service centre located also in Warsaw Hub premises, from which it was carved out to create an extension of continental Europe’s business. 

 

The rapid growth of SCB AG Poland Branch is an answer to demanding and expanding business of SCB AG, that delivers the professionals with unique skills to the company.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Preparation and submission of filings required for regulated companies, what includes Standard Chartered Bank - New York Branch and other US-incorporated subsidiaries (the “Bank”), which requires experience and understanding of USGAAP, with understanding of IFRS, in relation to reporting principles and excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills.
  • Provide analyses of financial data as required to support reporting requirements and audits.
  • Implementation of the Bank’s new regulatory software (Axiom) to meet current and approaching regulations while documenting business-as-usual reporting processes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct research as required on regulations and laws.
  • Preparation, review and analysis of the regulatory reporting requirements 
  • Preparation/maintenance of desk instructions in accordance with rules and regulations, review and analysis of month-end schedules, interfacing with process and data owner across multiple Finance functions
  • Assisting with other requirements as they arise or special projects.
  • Build analytic capacities, challenge underlying perceptions and understanding of the Bank’s ledger, report key findings, and make recommendations to management.
  • Keeping all software documentation on data loading, data enrichment and all processing workflows up to date
  • Automation by designing and building of new workflows.
  • Creation and maintenance of all process supporting documentation.

Our Ideal Candidate

 

  • 10+ years banking experience with an understanding of the Federal and State banking rules and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and continuous development/improvement/awareness of current practices in business, finance, accounting, and banking
  • Federal Reserve reporting knowledge required.  It includes, but not limited to, FR2900, FR2644, TICs, FFIEC019 & 002 Call Report
  • Knowledge of third-party regulatory reporting software (Axiom) is a plus
  • Ability to support and drive complex initiatives aligning workflows.
  • Ability to think and operate beyond standard scope of responsibility, possess strong decision-making skills, demonstrate independent judgment.
  • Prior work experience in foreign banking, capital markets, including derivative products.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, adept at time management having a high degree of accuracy in all duties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc)
