Title: Product Engineer, Credit Trading

Job Summary
This position is for a Product Engineer role for SCB CAT team. Product Engineer is a technical role but envisioned to be a key fixed income client facing, work with assigned clients, collaborate with other internal teams and help with solution conceptualization, build proof of concepts/prototypes, help with product delivery and troubleshooting. In addition, the Product Engineer is expected to help with product demo environments and their support. The product engineer is expected to specialize in fixed income trading solutions, continuously educating themselves of the rapidly evolving landscape of fixed income electronic trading space.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring system is running fine on daily basis.
- Interaction with users/traders – understanding business requirements & resolving daily queries.
- Translating business requirements into mocks/wireframes, breaking down the tasks and getting it implemented via developers.
- Delivery management – building full year delivery plans/etas.
- Participating in resolving productions issues.
- Own end-end outcome for an assigned set of product features, including testing and working with the larger fixed income QA team.
Skills and Experience
- Technical/Software engineering background.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, release management, deployment.
- Fixed Income/credit bond flow / electronic trading background.
- Ability to build mockups, wireframes.
- Product management/delivery execution skills.
- Experience with Java/Python.
- Proficient in DB/SQL.
- Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
- Ability to scope minimum viable functionalities for quick and iterative/incremental deliveries.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about fixed income as an asset class in the context of electronic trading.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills.
- Strong analytical skills and detail orientated.
